Ashton came up to me, "how are you doing? Is your foot okay?"

"Yeah it's all good," I smiled and looked over to Mikey.

Ashton sat down next to me, "I saw how Mikey took care of you. He really likes you. You guys would be great together."

I liked what I hear, but I felt I was being punch in the heart. Ashton didn't sound like he was too happy about the idea. I doubt it's because he liked me. What about Holly?

"Hey, where's Holly by the way?" I ask.

"She had to go. She had to meet up with her boyfriend at 6," he rubbed his arm.

"Oh. Well... I didn't know she had a boyfriend," I was shocked.

"Yeah. I knew. They've been together for 2 years now," he didn't sound disappointed knowing that.

"I just thought you and--"

"No, no, we're just friends," he stops me from finishing my sentence, "I've known her for way too long to ever date her. It would be like you and Calum together."

"Okay, EW. Don't even get that thought in my mind. I think I wanna puke," I gagged.

"Did someone say Luke?" Luke turned around towards us.

"No, I said puke..." I wanted to laugh and so did Ashton.

I turned back to Ashton, "so hey, sorry for earlier. I didn't mean to get all uptight."

"Apology accepted," he smiled, "and I'm sorry too that I pushed you over the edge with the whole jealousy thing, even though I still think that you were."

I gave him a dirty look, but couldn't help to laugh, "I was not."

Ashton was a cool guy under all the annoyingness. I wasn't sure how to feel when I was around him.

"Hey 5sos, why don't you guys play us a song," shouted one of the girls.

Everyone was gathered around the fire and Mikey and Luke had their guitars, Calum had his acoustic bass, and Ashton sat on his cajon. They started singing "Long Way Home" and I couldn't help but think great today way, besides me stabbing my foot on a seashell.

When they finished, one of the girls, Arielle, came up to Ashton, "that was great."

She gave Ashton a peck on the cheek and winked at him. He looked interested and followed her away.

"Excuse me for a second," he told me.

Even though I started growing feelings for Mikey, I couldn't stand imagining Ashton with someone else.

"No!" I tell him.

He turns around.

"I mean, yeah go ahead!" I fix myself, "go get her." How awkward could I have been.

He smiles and chases after her, "Arielle!"

She can't have him. I won't tolerate her.

"Jane! Ready to go?" Calum calls. "Me and Luke are going over to Mikey's for a little. You have to also." He didn't feel like driving around too much.

"I guess..." I answer, "what about Ashton?"

"He's going somewhere else, I don't know where," he continues, "does it matter?"

"Nope," I say carelessly.

Mikey comes and swoops me up. I enjoy being in his arms. He sets me down by the car. Why should I care about Ashton when I have Mikey?
