Finally off the plane, I headed towards the luggage pick-up area and there I saw my aunt and uncle.

"Jane!" My aunt yelled in her Aussie accent as she hugged me (she never calls me by my first name).

"Hi auntie Agnes, long time no see," I said as I was being squished to death.

"What about your uncle Kenny?" He joined in the hug.

"My goodness have you grown! I remember when you were only this tall," she held her hand 3 feet off the ground, " You were such a cute chubby girl! Now look at you, you're a beautiful young lady."

Uncle Kenny urged in "you're going to love it here. I remember how much you loved staying with us when you were little, you never wanted to leave. I'm sure nothing has changed. Are you excited to finally be living here now?"

"Have you called your mother yet to tell her you've made it here safely?" My aunt Agnes handed me her phone.

I felt bombarded with questions.

"I got it," I searched for my phone in my bag. A black iPhone? This isn't mine, I own a white one.

I pressed the home button and noticed a picture of what looked like Ashton and 3 other guys at the Grand Canyon as the lock screen. I couldn't really see who everyone was since the picture was taken from afar, but I knew one of them was Ashton. I could tell by his red bandana.

"Crap! I think I've accidentally swapped phones with the guy I sat next to on the plane."

"Do you want me to call it?" Offered uncle Kenny.

I nodded.

"It's ringing," he said and handed it over to me.

"Hello?" He picked up.

"Hi, uhm you have my phone."

"Sherry? You must have mine then."

"Where are-"

I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was Ashton.

I hung up.

"Hi. Can I have my phone back?" I smiled half way.

He handed me the phone and smiled. I handed him his. No words were exchanged.

"Alright," my aunt clapped, "now that we've settled this mishap, let's get going."

"Thank you, lad," my uncle waved.

They headed out the door to the parking lot and I followed after. I turned around as we walked away and there he stood on his phone with a smirk.

We got to the car and the whole ride home, all I did was stare at my phone debating whether I should finally send Ashton a text.

I opened up a new message and typed, "hi." I had no idea what to say. I thought hard about it and added, "I just want to thank you for giving me my phone back." Was that too lame to say?
