"Did I use to speak Sangheili?" Bria asked in a curious tone considering she could completely understand the Sangheili that Thel was speaking.
They were walking on Sangheilios to their destination. Bria thought Sangheilios was a beautiful place. Very beautiful to look at.
Thel looks at her with concern. "Yes, you did. Your mother taught you about our Sangheili culture."
"Girls stay where you are!!" Bria jumped as she heard what sounded like a woman's voice.
She immediately had a flashback. She and a younger girl who was bald were in a room in a modern-day townhouse. Looked like they were drawing something together. But the other girl looks confused.
"Was that mom?" She had said to Bria.
Bria noticed that she was breathing heavily, and she began to frantically look around.
"Ahh!" They heard a blood-curtailing scream coming from the kitchen downstairs from a man.
"Dad?..." the younger girl said in a shaky voice.
"Stay behind me, Beth." Bria said and slowly began to approach the door. Bria peeked through the door and saw a shadow of something large. And a yellow glow showed through the rails of the staircase. Bria held her breath steady. Even though her heart was on the verge of having a heart attack it was beating so fast.
Splat!
She gasped and nearly screamed as she saw the whole wall down the stairs splat in blood and chunks of God knows what.
She slammed the door reached for her face and realized that some of the blood was on her.
She turned and Beth began to panic, hyperventilating and shaking.
"Beth calm down please..." Bria said she frantically tried to wipe off the blood and went over to hug her.
"Who's blood is that?" Beth said with a shaky voice.
Bria took a breath. "Mine." She knew better, it was definitely one of their parents but Bria didn't want to admit that to her sister.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine. We just need to leave." Bria said.
"W-what about mom and dad?" She questioned.
"Umm..." Bria shook. "They'll be okay."
Bria made an escape plan in her head. But it involved going downstairs.
"Okay, follow my lead..." Bria told Beth.
Beth nodded, but when Bria went to open the door. The yellow light was coming up the stairs. Bria quickly but quietly shut the door.
"Oh gosh... okay plan B" Bria turned towards the windows.
"Those don't open, remember?" Beth reminded her.
Bria's heart was still racing, she was running out of options.
"Bria, what's going on?" Beth was almost in tears she was so scared.
"I need you to do something." Bria grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "I'm going to ask you to be as quiet as you can..."
"Bria, what's going on?" Beth was crying in fear.
"Beth listen to me, for your life's sake, I need you to be very quiet and hide under the bed..." Bria said calmly.
