"Let me guess, my body is eating me alive again and I'm dying. That's exactly what it is. I can't handle it again." Bria asked sarcastically as she lay on the table. She just saw Cassie's reaction. She knew it wasn't good.

"Not exactly." Cassie replied.

"Then what is it? I'm a big girl I can handle it."

"Bria." Cassie took a deep breath.

     Bria feared for the worse.

"You're pregnant." Cassie said in disbelief.

"What?!" Bria yelled and sat up, hitting her head on the machine. "Ow..."

Cassie lifted the machine so Bria could sit up. Bria sat up faster than she ever had before and stared at the screen.

"See here," Cassie lifted a shaking finger at the screen at a little-looking person. "That is a fetus. You're pregnant."

"With freaking what?!" Bria yelled.

"I-I don't know I'll have to run some DNA tests when it's bigger." Cassie said and noticed Bria was troubled. "Have you and Arbiter- uh..."

"That's impossible! I looked it up, humans and Sangheili can't reproduce." Bria said.

"Isn't Tyra half human and Sangheili?" Cassie said.

Realization hit Bria. "Oh my gosh... she is..." She covered her mouth and looked at Cassie. "Am I going to lay eggs? Don't elites lay eggs?"

"Y-yes, but I don't know what happens when they breed with humans." Cassie replied.

Bria started hyperventilating. "What if I lay a freaking egg!?"

"Okay, now this is a great time to calm down. Unless you want to get rid of it?" Cassie asked.

"No!" Bria quickly said. "I mean I don't know. I have to see what Thel thinks... I can't believe this is happening. This really complicates things."

"You two must've been busy." Cassie said sarcastically.

"D-do you think my body will be okay? Could I die from this?" She asked.

"Everyone could die from pregnancy if you don't take care of your body well enough. Are you sure it's Arbiters?" Cassie asked.

Bria took a breath. "He's the only one... well Kyle tried but he's not able to reproduce. At least I hope so."

"Let's just see how far you can get. Right now it looks like you're about a month along. I'll have to take a DNA test when it's older or when it's born." She said.

Cassie placed a comforting hand on Bria's shoulder. "Hey, it's going to be okay. Pregnancy isn't that bad." She said. "The birthing is the hard part. I can't imagine what it'll be like to birth and Sangheili. Do you think it'll form into an egg or something?"

Bria frowned.

"Right. Not helping." She said.

"I don't know how Thel is going to react..." Bria feared for the worse. "I don't know if he ever wanted a family..."

"Why are you so scared of him?" Cassie asked.

"Have you ever seen how a Sangheili treats their children? They treat them like dogs." Bria shuddered.

"Do you seriously think that sweet little Arbiter would be that cruel?" Cassie replied.

     Bria remained silent.

Cassie scoffed. "Are you scared he'll leave you?"

"I'm scared of a lot of things okay?" Bria snapped and started to tear up. "I don't know what to do."

Cassie placed a hand on her shoulder again. "Maybe you should start by telling him?"

Bria wiped her tears. "Y-you're right... but I don't know how. What will I say?"

"You're Bria freaking Vadam. You will figure it out. Just trust your heart." She smiled at Bria. "Travis was there when I took the test so I wish I could help you out here."

Bria gave her a small smile back. "You're right. I just pray that it will go over well." Bria looked down at her stomach.

Joy filled her heart at the thought of carrying and giving birth to her child. Though she didn't know what was going to come of it, how her body would react or anything, she was up for this challenge. And she prayed and prayed that Thel would be too.
