Bria and the Master chief walked out of their dropship immediately being surrounded by infected elites. Master Chief blasted them with his Assault Rifle and Bria burned them to a crisp, making sure to burn the body after as well because she heard they can come back to life. The smell of burning Sangheili flesh wafted through her nostrils, making her almost sick.

"Well, that was a warm welcome." Bria stated.

"There's plenty of more where that came from I'm sure." Master Chief replied.

Right. They were going to try to exterminate all the infected on Sangheilios. Without glassing it would be preferable. Hopefully, that was possible.

"Did you take inspiration from the Abriter's armor?" He stated about the armor she was wearing.

"You can say that. He did pick it out for me."  She replied.

They ran through the valley and torched some more flood. It was almost fun to Bria, she felt like an exterminator. But it quickly became depressing because these were once living breathing beings that had souls and lives.

But it was getting heated. There were so many of them. And so many spores. She can see how they took over a third of the planet. She hoped they could save them. Even for Thels sake too. She knew that the weight of all of this was on his shoulders. Hopefully, they could save Sangheilios.

"Mind if I join the party?" She heard the gut-wrenching voice that she wished she could never hear again.

"Seriously Kyle? What the f-"

"Who is this?" Master Chief pointed his assault rifle at Kyle. Honestly, Bria wouldn't mind if he blew his brains out if it didn't mean she would die in the process.

"You remember Kyle?" Bria said. "Hybrid. Similar powers to me."

"Better powers than you." He snarked.

Bria rolled her eyes.

"We don't want any trouble." Master Chief said still pointing his gun at him.

"Oh, neither do I." Kyle replied. "I wanted to help cleanse Sangheilios."

Yeah right.

"Just stay out of our way." Bria said.

Kyle suddenly shot a fireball behind Master Chief, torching an infected elite.

Bria was surprised.

"Bria?" She heard Cassie's voice over her earpiece.

"Bria here" she replied.

"It's ready." Cassie stated. Bria made eye contact with Kyle. Her breath catching. "Is right now a good time?"

Bria took a breath and took a moment to look around. She saw a little hut in the distance, surrounded by burnt bodies.

"Yeah, I'll send you a location." She tapped some stuff on her tablet. "I will be right back."

She made eye contact with Kyle again. Then she looked at Chief.

Eh, Chief can take him if he gets out of control.

She shrugged and started to run towards the hut.

Not too long after Bria arrived at the hut, Cassie got dropped off by a dropship.

"This is exciting." Cassie ran towards her. "Okay, we'll need to get you injections. 5 in the legs, arms, and neck. And you need to drink this. Also, take your armor off." She handed her a vile of some disgusting-looking brown gooey liquid.

"Before we do this, will this hurt Rayna?" Bria asked.

"Who?" Cassie questioned.

"Our baby" Bria explained. "Thel came up with the name."

Cassie nodded. "Okay. Well no, it won't hurt her. In fact, it may help in case Kyle has a blood bond with her too. Since you share some DNA."

Bria nodded and drank the liquid like a shot. "Oh, that tastes like dog vomit."

"Didn't say it would be a fruit smoothie." Cassie joked and began to inject Bria.

A few minutes later she was already on the last needle.

Bria didn't feel any difference at all. Hopefully, this worked.

"How long will it take to be effective?" Bria asked.

"The instructions said immediately." Cassie explained.

"Well, hopefully that's true. Kyle's here."

"Kyle's here? Well, remind me to pull up a chair when you rip his head off." Cassie said.

"Trust me I will." Bria felt a little fatigued but that's about it. She looked over at where Master Chief and Kyle were fighting the flood, she could see some visible cuts on Kyle's arms, so maybe it did work. There were none on hers. She looked back a Cassie.

"I have to go tend to the other wounded at the camp. Take it easy okay? You seem like you're taking it well. No allergic reactions." Cassie said.

"Thanks. I hope it worked. If not I'll see you on the other side." She said and watched Cassie walk away.

Was this it? Would she finally get rid of Kyle for good?

"You thinking about me?" Kyle said and made Bria jump.

"You really have to stop doing that." She sighed.

She froze because she forgot to put her armor back on.

"I know you took the cure." He stated.

Oh no...

"And? You wanted to die, correct?" Bria questioned.

Kyle took a breath. "Do you know that the banished already want to get your child?"

"Just shut up Kyle." Bria rolled her eyes.

"I'm very serious." He pulled out a message on a hologram and pressed play.

Bria was shocked to see an elite in black and red armor like she'd never seen before.

"The arbiters betrothed is with child. Said to have the same power as its mother. Power that can destroy suns. Imagine the possibilities with such power. As soon as it is out of the mother's womb, we must find a way to conquer it."

Bria's jaw almost hit the floor. It spoke Sangheili and she understood every word.

"H-how did they know?" She questioned. She started to tremble.

"Because," Kyle spoke. "I told them."

Did she hear that right?

She turned a blazing glare to him.

"You told them?" She questioned. Fuming.

"Yeah. They offered some pretty good alliances. I asked if they could kill the Swords of Sangheilios in return for that information. But I think I might do that myself." He chuckled.

"You bastard!" She ran towards him, fully on fire.

"Ack!"
