Bria paced back and forth in her apartment, thinking about how to get back. She had enough money to buy a UNSC frigate tour ticket. Maybe she can get back that way?
Or...
Even though she just broke Micah's heart a couple of days ago, his dad is a part of the UNSC. She would have to blow her cover but maybe he could get her back.
Sure let's go break his heart some more, you jerk...
She sighed as she approached his fancy apartment again. She knocked on his door.
He opened it and he was surprised to see her. "Oh, hi May. Come in."
"Thank you." She walked in and turned back to him. "Listen, this is going to sound absolutely insane, but I need your dad." She said swiftly.
"Excuse me?" He replied.
She sighed. "Sorry. I'm not who you think I am. My name is Bria 'Vadam."
He looked shocked. "You mean, the Thel 'Vadams wife?" He said unsure.
She nodded. "If you don't believe me, here." She popped a little purple flame on her hand.
Micah jumped. "Woah. Why are you here?"
"I ran away. I was mad and hurt. I wanted a taste of a normal life, which I got. But I don't need a normal life. I'm married to the Arbiter and pregnant with a Sangheili hybrid. By the way, this is Thels baby and I really need to tell him and I need to get back to get a cure for my blood bond with someone and also help fight the Flood and all of that. If you don't want to help me, I understand." She somehow said in one breath.
Micah blinked. "Of course, I will help you. Even if you lied to me I'm sure you had your reason. I trust you." He replied.
Bria sighed in relief. "Thank you, Micah, that really means a lot to me. I'll give you all the money I have. I don't need it."
"That won't be necessary, but I will call my dad right now to see what he can do." He said and pulled out his phone.
Surprisingly it didn't take his dad long to answer. And to Bria's surprise, a lot of people were searching for her. So they retrieved her very fast.
Back on the UNSC frigate...
Bria got off the drop ship, she felt exhausted from the travel. She feels like she needs a big meal or a fruit-infused tea.
Cassie was the first to run up and hug her. Then stared at her like she wanted to slap her. "You ran away to our home planet??" She shook her shoulders.
"I just wanted to see what it would be like to be normal." Bria shrugged.
Cassie scoffed. "You're married to an elite, you can't be normal." Cassie led her down a hallway. "Well you're back now, I'm almost done with the cure. Also, someone's been waiting for you." Cassie led her to the medical bay where someone was waiting on the other side of the door.
Bria's heart leaped for joy as she saw Thel. She missed him so much. She ran up to him as he scooped her in his arms He hugged her super tightly, not wanting to let her go ever again. "I was so worried about you." He said.
Bria backed away. "I'm really sorry that I left. That was really immature of me. There's just so much going on now, I got overwhelmed."
He let her go. "You're hair and your clothing. You must've been wealthy."
She was surprised that he didn't notice her other change in appearance... though she did hide it pretty well.
"I just lightened it. I had to change my appearance so Kyle couldn't find me. And yes, I was one of the top nurses in the hospital." She chuckled.
"I love you." Thel held her close again.
"Thel, there's something I need to tell you..." Bria said. Please please no interruptions. She prayed.
"What is it?" He asked.
She looked around noticing that they were alone. Not the most romantic place, but it will work.
She took a breath. "I'm pregnant."
