Now what?

She questioned herself as she was stranded in space. She prayed and prayed that Kyle wouldn't be able to track her because of her ship. He couldn't be that smart, right?

Right?

"This is Bria Vadam, I am stranded and out of fuel." She spoke frantically to a radio signal. Or hoping to find a radio signal. "I-I don't know where I am. I escaped Kyle though."

She couldn't hear anything back...

She sighed and punched her fist through the radio with her good arm. The radio was probably broken now.

She cursed as she laid her head in her hands. Her heart was still racing from paranoia. She feared any second that he would show up and take her back, or kill her.

What was she going to do? Her hands shook violently, she wanted them to stop but she was afraid.

"Br-" her head looked at the radio as a signal tried to come in. "UN-" but mostly static played and she couldn't understand.

Her shaking hands reached for the microphone.

"H-hello hello??" She yelled through her tears. "This is B-Bria Vadam. I'm stranded and out of fuel... and being hunted."

She waited desperately for a response.

"Bria-" more static. Then a good bit of silence. "Rescue team?" She heard clearly.

"Yes yes! Rescue team! Please please..." her voice shook.

She jumped as a ship jumped right in front of her. She was worried until she saw the UNSC logo. Her lungs let out a sigh.

They connected to her hatch and opened them both up. The first one to jump down was Thel.

She cried tears of joy as she saw him. She didn't even think and ran up and hugged him tightly.

"Oh, what did he do to you, my love?" He hugged her tight.

She backed up and looked at him. "There's just so much. I-"

"Save the chatting for the ship." A marine stepped in between them. "We need to get her and this ship on the main ship before we die from lack of oxygen." He said.

"No!" Bria shouted. "We need to blow this piece of junk up. Kyle could track me."

"Who the ef is Kyle?" The marine looked at her.

She almost laughed and looked back at Thel. They then transferred to the UNSC ship.

Back on the UNSC ship

They wrapped Bria in a heavy blanket, giving her a warm cup of coffee. But she could not stop herself from shaking so she couldn't hold it.

"Where did these burns come from?" Cassie examined her arm which was also broken.

"K-Kyle..." Bria said quietly not even wanting to say his name.

"Hmm, well other than that and a couple of broken limbs..." Cassie took a step back. "She seems perfectly healthy." Cassie smiled and she checked her vitals. "It's so good to have you back." She was almost in tears.

Bria looked up and managed to smile at her.

She saw Price waking up to them.

"Good to have our super weapon finally." He patted Bria on the shoulder, really hurting her arm.

"Her name is Bria." Cassie snarled.

"Is she good? Ready to go back into combat?" He asked Cassie.

"K-ky" Bria tried to speak but got cut off.

"We just pulled her out of space. I recommend that we give her some time to rest..." Cassie told Price.

"She's trying to say something..." Thel tried to speak to them but got ignored.

Price scoffed and looked at the papers that Cassie was holding. "She seems fine to me, can't she use her powers to heal herself or something?"

"Kyl" Bria tried saying a little louder.

"No sir I don't want to kill her on her first day back with us." Cassie sounded irritated.

"Kyle has my powers!" Bria shouted.

They all went silent and looked at her.

"Kyle has my powers..." Bria said quietly.

"How?" Cassie asked.

Bria started to cry. "I don't know... he did something to me all those times that he did surgery on me and somehow took my powers."

"So you can't use them?" Thel questioned.

"No, I can. Sorry should've been more specific." Bria replied.

"Never mind. I don't want her on my ship..." Price said.

Cassie scoffed and Thel stood straighter.

"Are you serious?" Cassie yelled. "She's one of us, we're not just going to abandon her."

"She's a target now and always will be until that hybrid is dead." He said.

"That could be arranged." Thel crossed his arms.

"As far as I know, we didn't blow up my ship and it's just floating in space. It was in the middle of nowhere so maybe he'll just assume that I fled to a different planet."

      "That's ridiculous!" Price shouted.

"Not as ridiculous as abandoning her!" Cassie snapped back.

"Listen, I don't care what you do with me." Bria made sure to make eye contact with Price. Thel could see hints of purple glow in her eyes.

     "I want Kyle dead."
