The Winter Soldier

On the highway. 

Sam was driving down the highway. 

Sitwell " HYDRA doesn't like leaks."

Sam "So why don't you try sticking a cork in it."

Me "Insight's launching in sixteen hours, we're cutting it a little bit close here."

Cap nodded "I know. We'll use him to bypass the DNA scans and access the Helicarriers directly."

Sitwell asked shocked "What?! Are you crazy? That is a terrible, terrible idea-"

Suddenly something landed on the car roof, grabbed Sitwell and threw him through the window on the road, killing him. 

Bullets came through the rooftop and i jumped to the front onto Steve's lap. 

Sam hit the breaks and the Winter Solder jumped onto the streets. 

My eyes widened "no no no no no no"

I grabbed my gun and went to shoot him when suddenly a car hit us from behind. 

The car behind us pushed our car towards the Winter Soldier. 

The Winter Solider jumped onto the hood and ripped out the steering wheel. 

Our car got thrown around. 

Me "Cap!"

Cap "Hang on!"

He broke open the door grabbed Sam and me and jumped out of the car. We were all sliding around on the door. 

I groaned and jumped up. 

TWS started shooting at us. Cap pushed me out of the way and blocked the bullet with the shield which made him get thrown back. 

Everyone started shooting at us. 

I jumped off the bridge and ran to hide behind a car. 

Suddenly the car got shot. 

I shot TWS, breaking his google mask. 

He took it off and glared at me before jumping down the bridge and walking over to me. 

I raised an eyebrow "Remember me?"

The he threw a punch at me which i blocked which made him kick me against a car. 

I gasped out and ripped the mirror off the car door and punched him in the face with it. 

He didn't even flinch. 

I too my knife out and went to cut him but he grabbed my arm and and spun me around trying to choke me. 

I grabbed his biceps but his metal arm was too strong. I never had a chance against his metal arm. 

Me "you don't wanna do this!"

Suddenly i felt something ramming us from behind. The shield.

TWS threw me against the next car and i cried out. 

I saw Steve fighting him. 

Steve was not going to win this fight. 

Suddenly Steve threw him to the ground and his mask fell off. 

Cap froze "Bucky...?"

My eyes widened. 

Bucky asked confused " Who the hell is Bucky?"

Suddenly we heard Sirens. 

Bucky disappeared. 

Steve looked at me and i looked at him. 

Rumlow showed up "Drop the shield, Cap! On your knees! Get on your knees! Now! Get down! Get down! "

Steve got on his knees. 

In the van. 

Cap " It was him. He looked right at me like he didn't even know me."

Sam asked confused "How's that even possible? It was like seventy years ago."

Cap "Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in '43, Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and.."

Me "Cap"

Cap "Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky."

Then he looked at him "why was he so focused on you"

My eyes widened. 

Suddenly one of the guards pulled out an electric rod and neutralized the other guard and knocked him out.

The guard took his mask off. 

Me "Hill?"

Hill "That thing was squeezing my brain. "

I smirked. 


At a secret facility.
We walked into a room and my jaw hit the ground. 

Me "Fury?!"

He smirked at us "About damn time."

Fury " Lacerated spinal column, cracked sternum, shattered collarbone, perforated liver, one hell of a headache."

Doc " Don't forget your collapsed lung."

Fury nodded "Oh, let's not forget that. Otherwise, I'm good."

I shook my head, confused " They cut you open, your heart stopped."

Nick "Tetrodotoxin B. Slows the pulse to one beat a minute. Banner developed it for stress. Didn't work so great for him, but we found a use for it."

Cap "Why all the secrecy? Why not just tell us?"

Hill "Any attempt on the director's life had to look successful."

Fury "Can't kill you if you're already dead. Besides, I wasn't sure who to trust"

Fury looked at the photo of Pierce "This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said, "Peace wasn't an achievement, it was a responsibility." See, it's stuff like this that gives me trust issues."

Me " We have to stop the launch."

Fury " I don't think the Council's accepting my calls anymore. "

Sam "What's that?"

Hill "Once the Helicarriers reach three thousand feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites becoming fully weaponized."

Fury "We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting blades with our own."

Hill "One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational a whole lot of people are gonna die."

Fury "We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe, we can salvage what's left..."

Cap "We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers, Nick, we're taking down SHIELD."

Nick shook his head "SHIELD had nothing to do with it."

Cap "You gave me this mission, this is how it ends. SHIELD's been compromised, you said so yourself. HYDRA grew right under your nose and nobody noticed."

Nick "Why do you think we're meeting in this cave? I noticed."

Cap "And how many paid the price before you did?"

Fury "Look, I didn't know about Barnes."

Cap " Even if you have, would you have told me? Or would you have compartmentalized that too? SHIELD, HYDRA, it all goes."

Hill nodded "He's right."

Fury looked at Sam. 

Sam shook his head "Don't look at me. I do what he does, just slower."

Fury leaned back in his chair " Well... Looks like you're giving the orders now, Captain"
