Fury

A few months late. In Washington. 

I pulled over in front of Cap and a man he was talking to.

Me "Hey, fellas. Either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a fossil."

Cap shot me a look "That's hilarious."

I smiled "i know, right?"

He rolled his eyes and got into the car. 

Indian Ocean. 

We were on a Quinjet over the Indian Ocean. 

Rumlow " The target is a mobile satellite launch platform: The Lemurian Star. They were sending up their last payload when pirates took them, 93 minutes ago."

Cap "Any demands?"

Rumlow "A billion and a half."

Cap " Why so steep?"

Rumlow "Because it SHIELD's."

Cap "So it's not off-course, it's trespassing."

Me "I'm sure they have a good reason."

Cap "You know, I'm getting a little tired of being Fury's janitor."

I rolled my eyes"Relax, it's not that complicated."

Cap "How many pirates?"

Rumlow "Twenty-five, top mercs, led by this guy. Georges Batroc. Ex-DGSE, Action Division. He's at the top of Interpol's Red Notice. Before the French demobilized him, he had thirty-six kill missions. This guy's got a rep for maximum casualties."

Cap "Hostages?"

Rumlow shrugged "Uh...mostly techs. One officer, Jasper Sitwell. They're in the galley."

Cap "What's Sitwell doing on a launch ship? Alright, I'm gonna sweep the deck and find Batroc. Ley, you'll kill the engines and wait for instructions. Rumlow, you sweep aft, find the hostages, get them to the life-pods, get 'em out. Let's move."

Rumlow "STRIKE, you heard the Cap. Gear up."

Me " Did you do anything fun Saturday night?"

Cap "Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead, so... No, not really."

Pilot "Coming up by the drop zone, Cap."

Me "You know, if you ask Kristen out, from Statistics, she'd probably say yes."

Cap "That's why I don't ask."

Me "Too shy or too scared?"

Cap " Too busy!"

Then he jumped out of the jet. 

Strike "Was he wearing a parachute?"

I shook my head "nope"

Then i jumped out of the ship and flew over there with my boots.

Cap took out the ones on he deck. 

Rumlow and the rest landed on the deck. 

Me "What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice."

Cap "Secure the engine room, then find me a date."

Me " I'm multitasking."

Then i jumped onto the lower deck and landed behind a pirate. 

I put my arm around his neck and chocked him till he stopped moving. 

Someone was coming closer.
