Kyu Ree opened the apartment door and moved inside. “Just keep quiet. River’s cousin is sleeping,” She spoke over her shoulder to Taeil, who was still standing outside. He nodded curtly and then followed her inside.
Immediately, he was struck. The apartment shouldn’t really have been considered an apartment. It was enormous. When he walked in, he noted that the apartment was long, and relatively wide. Directly beside the front door was a dining room to the right, and just beyond that was a very large kitchen. To the left was a wall, which Taeil figured was a room. There were four steps down from the entrance that led to the incredibly huge living room. A humongous sectional covered a lot of the floor space, and he noted that, aside from the middle portion, the end portions were wide enough to dub as a bed.
And clearly it was, as there was a bed set up on it at the moment. Everything was black and gray, with some navy blue and white. Wide floor to ceiling windows covered the back wall, and as Taeil moved in further he noted that, just beside the kitchen and off to the right of the living room, was a door. To the left, where the wall that closed in the entrance was, was another door, and another across from it, and one at the end of the small hall the two formed.
When he turned, he noted that there was a second floor, only for a small walkway at the top with a few doors. “Woah,” He said softly.
Kyu Ree pointed towards the door by the kitchen. “Master bedroom, where River stays,” She pointed to the door across from the one beside the walkway. “Home gym, which was supposed to be my bedroom but I didn’t want it,” Across from it. “Bathroom,” And the door at the end of the small hall. “Closet.” She turned and pointed up at the top of the balcony. “The doors that led the same way as the front door lead to the building’s gym, pool, and laundry rooms.”
Taeil continued to stare around. “This place is incredible.”
“Yeah, well, She pays a lot of money for it.” She sighed. “I’m going to change and leave a note for Koharu. Would you mind bringing me to your dorm?”
Taeil turned and stared at her, eyes wide. “What?”
“I have a feeling River’s there. With your friend.” Taeil’s eyes widened. “Believe me, it’s a possibility.”
Taeil made a face. “I don’t know. B-bomb isn’t really like that.”
Kyu Ree shrugged. “River’s persuasive. And, believe me, with the way he was staring her down the other night, I’d find it a little hard to believe if he didn’t take the offer.” She sighed and pulled her hair from the braid it had been done in. “I’ll be right back,” She said, moving towards River’s bedroom.
Taeil stood awkwardly in the middle of the living room while Kyu Ree gathered River’s clothes. She moved out of the room and closed the door lightly. “You can sit down.” She said, gesturing to the couch. Taeil nodded and sat. “I’m going to leave the clothes here until I can get a bag for it.” She said, starting towards her room.
Taeil sat quietly on the couch, staring out the window, occasionally looking at his watch. Eventually, it had been twenty minutes since Kyu Ree had disappeared, so Taeil stood and started towards her room.
