Zico had been sitting in his room, headphones on, finishing up the final pieces to the new track he’d been working on, when Kyung and Kyu Ree had come in and told him that he needed to go to River’s apartment, and fast. In truth, he wanted nothing to do with River, but they explained the situation and, even though it made no sense to him, he found himself moving down the street, with U-Kwon and B-Bomb, towards her apartment.

And he was pissed. Why were they with him? Was she calling them over to tell them she had crabs, or herpes? What the hell was going on? B-Bomb didn’t seem nervous about the situation. In truth, he seemed more upset than anything, hurt really, and U-Kwon looked like he’d just given up. Zico felt terrible to be in that situation with them, but, surprisingly, he felt jealous. He’d been with River first, right? But that didn’t even matter.

The three were silent as they moved into the elevator and to River’s floor. SIlent as they walked down the hall, silent as they knocked on the door, and incredibly silent when the door was opened by another man.

“Let me guess. You,” He pointed to Zico. “You’re jealous. You,” He pointed to U-Kwon. “Are hurt, and you,” He pointed to B-Bomb. “Might be in love.” All three were still silent. The man laughed. “I’m Byun Jongdae. I’m River’s coach, and I called you here. Sorry for the inconvenience.” He moved out of the way from the door and gestured for them to move in.

Slowly, one by one, they did. Zico was a little awestruck by how big it was, how luxurious. He didn’t entirely remember it, to be honest. He and River had pretty much drank the bar dry and then gone home, so when he woke up the next morning, everything was too bright for him to even have his eyes opened when he was walking to the door.

But he remembered River. He remembered her well. She was sitting on the couch, in the very corner of the enormous sectional, wearing workout clothes and wore her hair in a very high, very tight ponytail. Her green eyes were wide with worry as she looked up to find the three moving into the space, and she bit her lip and looked back down. She’d curled herself into a very small, a very tight ball, and she buried her face in her knees and the three boys moved into the living room, standing before her.

“Take a seat boys,” Jongdae said, sitting beside River and sighing. They all sat, stiff and awkward, across from them. Jongdae offered a smile. “So, which one was first, Riv?”

River looked up and her eyes zeroed in on Zico. “Ji Ho.” She answered. Jongdae raised an eyebrow, and she pointed towards Zico, who shifted uncomfortably.

“And how was it?” He asked, making the situation even more uncomfortable.

River sighed. “I don’t remember it.” Jongdae turned towards her. “I don’t remember it because I was drunk.”

“And if you were drunk, and you don’t remember it, how would you know whether or not he used protection?” She shrugged. “If she’s pregnant, I’ll get back to you, okay?” Jongdae asked, looking towards Zico.

“I’m on the pill, Jongdae, and I took Plan B.” She said, sighing. “I took precautions.” Jongdae’s lips pursed. “I know the other two used protection. I know that for a fact. And I made sure to take the Plan B again, just in case.”

Jongdae turned towards them. “When’s the last time you guys were checked?”

All three shifted uncomfortable, and River finally groaned. “Enough Jongdae! I’m fine! They had nothing to do with this. It’s enough that you called them here, have made everything uncomfortable for all of us, even though it was already pretty bad, and to top it all off, you threw away Kyu Ree’s banana milk. I think you’re finished here.”
