15: Movie's Over

River's heart was racing as she watched Kyu Ree move out of the cage. She could see it, without Kyu Ree even needing to tell her, she was about to collapse, so River shot to her side and, just as Kyu Ree started to go down, grabbed onto her. "What the hell were you thinking?" She demanded.

Kyu Ree weakly looked up at River. "I thought it would shut them up. And I wanted my banana milk."

U-Kwon and P.O. raced to them, U-Kwon kneeling beside River. "Here, let me carry her back to your apartment."

River sneered at him. "I'm not weak, U-Kwon." She said, swiping Kyu Ree off her feet. "P.O., grab her things for me please."

P.O. nodded. "Should I call a doctor?"

"She is a doctor." River answered, shaking her head and turning, starting towards the doors of the facility. P.O. was quick to gather Kyu Ree's things, U-Kwon carrying what he couldn't, and then the two followed behind River and Kyu Ree towards the direction of their apartment. She hailed a cab, and the four awkwardly piled in, riding in silence until they made it to the apartment. When they climbed out of the car, Kyu Ree declared that she could, in fact, walk again, but River refused to let go of her arm, just in case.

When they made it into the apartment, Kyu Ree slammed down on the couch, closing her eyes and pressing her fingers against her temples. "What the hell happened back there?" River demanded.

Kyu Ree shook her head. "You don't want to know."

"Oh, but I do." River hissed, sitting in front of her. "What the hell were you thinking? You could have fucking died! Those guys go apeshit, and you being a girl wouldn't have made any god damn difference!"

Kyu Ree threw her hands down. "You want to know what happened? Fine! I kicked their asses because they weren't ever going to let you back into the gym. They planned on keeping you barred for life." River didn't look convinced. "Jongdae said that they don't let whores inside of their gym, and the others agreed. They didn't want you back, River." Her face fell. "They were supposed to be your brothers, River, and they threw you away."

"So you beat them up?"

Kyu Ree shrugged. "Not solely for that reason. I did the match in the condition that if I won, you got to return, and Jongdae would stock our fridge with banana milk. Had I lost, I would have had to pay his medical bill."

"You don't have the money for that. Why would you make that deal?" River demanded, a little less pissed off.

"I knew I would win." Kyu Ree sat up. "But River, even though I won, I don't want you going back there. We can find you a different gym, and a different manager but... you can do better than Jongdae."

River nodded, biting her lip to keep herself from crying. "Thank you for doing that for me," She said, standing slowly and starting towards the kitchen. U-Kwon followed her immediately, placing a hand on her back and trying to comfort her.

P.O. knelt beside Kyu Ree. "I, uh, messaged Kyung and Taeil. They'll be here in a moment."
