As we've brought up a few times now, one of the most peculiar aspects of Hope's Peak's education program is that Ultimate Students aren't actually required to go to class so long as they persued with their talents and developed them. However, the 100th class were typically an astute class. Many of them liked to bunk off class, but even with this, a lot of them were actually very attentive and attended classes when they were supposed to, mainly because classes could be enlightening and it was worth going.

The only two students who consistently avoided going to class were Hasami Saihara and Haruhi Naegi, both for the same reason but upon slightly different lines. It was so they didn't have to interact with their classmates, although for Hasami it was due to a bratty, self-sophisticated desire to be left alone, wheras for Haruhi, she was just socially anxious to an extreme, and the less interaction she participated in, the better for her mental health...or so she deemed.

On that note, today wasn't really any different. Classes had ended, but Haruhi remained in her research lab, aimlessly scribbling away, writing the next manuscript for her manga. She checked her clock and saw that the school day was over about half an hour after the bells actually rang.

"Must've conked out..." she scratched her head "guess it's home time. Though..."

Hope's Peak wasn't a boarding school, but as mentioned before, Hasami had permission from Hope's Peak to use her research lab as a living space, given she lived quite far away and making the trek to Hope's Peak from Towa City every day just wasn't worth it. Of course, her mother Toko made her promise that she'd in the very least text her and her mother Komaru every day, and it wasn't a problem since her uncle was the Headmaster and could always look after if necessary.

Hasami, as usual, didn't have her curtains open at this time. Even so, she was so used to the dark and gloomy atmosphere of her messy room that she had pretty good dark vision, and she spotted that she'd left her PC in sleep mode...

"Oh, that's right," she smiled awkwardly upon seeing it "I need to continue with that  game I started. I've got some time, so I may as well make use of it...."

Haruhi pulled up her swivel chair away from her drawing desk and moved it over to her computer desk. She switched the monitor on, lighting up the room, and resumed the game she was playing.

[???: "Not every day I see you rushing along like this Juno-chan!"]

[Juno: Ryouta!]

[Ryouta: Don't tell me you overslept or somethin'?]

[Game: This egg is Ryouta Omori. He and Juno have been friends ever since they were children.]

[Juno: Breakfast was a little hard to down today, but I can't relax without some good ol' toast inside me...]

[Ryouta: You know, you could always invite me round to make you breakfast? I really don't mind.]

[Juno: Oh Ryouta. I know I can always count on you.]

Haruhi heaved a dreamy sigh as she scared at the boy behind the screen.

"Oh Ryouta..." she repeated"I know I can always count on you..."

"That guy's handsome..." came a voice from behind her "though it's a little weird to be fawning over someone behind a screen like that..."

"AAAH! NO! INTO THE LIGHT!" Haruhi screamed "BACK TO WHENCE YOU CAME!"

"Are you telling me to die?" they asked. Upon taking a second look, Haruhi realized that it wasn't some demon or creeper that had entered their room. It was Genjitsu Hinata, looming over and staring over her shoulder at the screen.
