It had been a week since filming started, Amy's flinching away had caused a few little inconveniences but she got over them and they pushed on. Leigh Bardugo, the author of the books, was due to fly over and meet them and continue to film with them. It was just the crows filming today but other cast members decided to join them on set for support and to meet Leigh. Eric had been keeping her updated with the whole filming scheme.

Amy and the other crows were fully fitted in their costumes and today was one of the days that Amy needed her nails on. "Leigh is here!" Kit hollered out the door of the main building to where Amy was outside her trailer reading the script. While she was getting up, quickly, Kit went back inside. Amy ran inside the main building to where Leigh was hugging Freddy.

"Amy!" Leigh called as she walked over to the group, "my gosh you look amazing!" The poor author was on the verge of tears as she hugged her, "you're all going to make me cry." The others laughed at that. Amy smiled as she pulled away, "it's so great to meet you."

"It's so great to meet you too."

Leigh looked around at the crows surrounding her, "you all look incredible. It's actually eerie."

"Amy," Freddy nudged her, "show her your hands."

Amy stepped forward to Leigh and took off the gloves she was wearing, Leigh gasped as she took her hands in her own. "Your hands, your nails!"

Leigh took another look at then all, she couldn't believe this was real and that these talented people were playing her characters. None of it seemed real. Eric called for crows to head onto set and they did just that, they were filming the table scene in the crow club. The moment they heard the clapperboard, they transformed into the deminors and personalities of their crow characters.

"Saints, your nails." Amita gasped as Amy flexed her hand showing her nails.

"Only one person has nails like that, the Vampress." Kit said.

Amy simply nodded, refusing to take her stare from the table.

"I thought the Vampress was just a legend to scare children," Amita questioned tilting her head slightly.

Freddy shook his head, "she's real alright."

Kit turned to him, "where in Ghezen did you even find her?"

"I've known Kaz since we were kids," Amy said finally looking up, "before I became what I am."

The group swaddled into silence again before the conversation returned to the plan. A million kruge was too much money to let slip through their fingers. They needed to find a way across the fold. "Here's what I don't get," Kit began, breaking the silence.

"We're going to be here all night." Amita commented sarcastically as she had her fingers pressed on the handle of her knife, it was pointing against the table.

"Rude." Kit replied and Amy had to place a hand over her mouth to stop the laughter from spilling out. "Why haven't they tried going under it?" Kit continued, "just did a tunnel."

"Tried that. More than a century ago," Freddy told him.

"Something heard them digging," Amy added as she slipped off her coat. Freddy had to trail his eyes over the skin on her shoulders and chest that had just gotten revealed, he then shook his head in attempt to look away. Little did everyone know, he wasn't actually acting in that small scene.

"It was made hundreds of years ago by that crazy Grisha..." Kit began.

"The Black Heretic," Amita reminded him.

"The one who controls shadow. They've got one in their army now, don't they? General..." Kit continued.

"Kirigan," Amy reminded him kindly, "also known as the Darkling."
