A Plan

Eddy's POV

It was so perfect until she appeared.

It was so magical until her presence made our moment disturbed.

I can't believe that she showed up just when Y/N and I are in the middle of our happy times. This is not what I hoped for.

Y/N just smiles when she noticed there's a girl calling me, I told her to wait for a moment as I take this person to talk a little away from her.

I just really hope that Y/N doesn't misunderstood us. Ah, what am I thinking? Maybe she might not care about it.

"What are you doing here? Don't you see I'm busy here?" I took a deep breath after I ensure that Y/N won't be able to hear us. It will be complicated if this girl say something false about us.

She furrowed her eyebrows. "Why? I thought we're meeting today. You said okay in the call yesterday, right? But I can't find you anywhere since the afternoon."

I facepalm myself, knowing how I myself making this complicated before anything happens instead.

"What? Who is she, anyway? Why don't you introduce us?" She voiced again.

I let out a sigh. Kelly seems to pretend not to recognize Y/N. They are obviously know each other. "Look, Kelly..."

"What?"

"I'm sorry you misunderstood, but I can't hangout with you today. As you can see, I'm with Y/N and I don't want to ruin her day just because you're here. Okay?"

"Huh, you said you can come with me today, why you agree with my offer then?" Kelly obviously upset. She puts her hands folded in front of her chest and starts to show some sulk expression.

"K-Kelly..." I hate facing a situation like this. I don't want to hurt anyone, but how can I reject her now? It's my fault I said something without thinking before.

The thing is, yeah, Kelly did call me the other day and said that her boyfriend is out of town today, so she wanted to catch up with me.

I agreed that time, since my mind can't function normally due to my worry for Y/N. I wanted to end the call quick and just take a rest.

I'm incredibly happy when Y/N felt happy with my offer to hangout, but I totally forgot that this day is the same day I promised Kelly to meet her.

Why am I so stupid? Now what do I do?

"I'm not gonna go home after you made me waited for hours, Eddy. You hear that?" Kelly seems insistent.

I sigh again. "Fine. Just... wait for a moment."

Maybe you're going to call me stupid for agreeing again. And I agree myself that I'm stupid. I'm not strict enough to myself. I'm just a weakling to people.

I glance to where Y/N is. She's still chilling there in the bench alone with the snow falling. I step back slowly to her.

"Oh... Uh, you're done?" Y/N stands and smiles to me.

I smile slightly. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I totally forgot I had a promise with her today. Can you... go home alone?"

"Oh..." She looks at Kelly far that way for a moment before she glance back to me. "I guess she's important to you, huh? Then, go right ahead. I can go by myself."

I bit my lips. Her answer really ripped my heart instantly. It's like she's trying to be strong with this, though she just smiles.

"Y/N..." I try to explain more about who Kelly is, but I just don't know where to start.

"Hm?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "What's wrong? Just go, your girl's waiting. Don't worry about me."

"I mean, she's not my girl! She's-" I tried. I tried so hard, yet my voice weaken. "Uh, nevermind."

Y/N seems confused. She silents for a sec. "Don't worry about me, Eddy. I'll wait for you at the apartment."

"Eddy! Hurry up!" Kelly's voice echoes from afar.

I glance to Kelly with a dilemma. Why did this has to turned upside down?

I glance back to Y/N. I start to feel really bad leaving her like this. "Um, actually, let me escort you to the apartment first, then I'll go. Is that okay?"

Y/N gently shake her head. "Then, how about her? You can't just leave her here. It's okay, Eddy. I know my way back."

"Seriously?" I still can't get myself to calmly let Y/N go home alone. How can I? She's like a newborn baby, what if she gets lost? What if someone bothers her?

"Yeah, I'll contact you as soon as I arrived." She said.

I let out a sigh and pat her head. "Okay then, be careful okay? I'm going to check my phone often for your news."

She nods, and there she goes. Slowly, she steps away from me, as an awful feeling starts to squeeze me inside. A familiar feeling indeed.

"Eddy! You're done, right?" Before I can't budge, Kelly has already approach me and pat me on the shoulder.

I glance to her and walk ahead. "Come on."

Your POV

A few days later...

Christmas Eve has arrived.

I woke up a bit late today since I stayed up too much. A curious face shows when I see Eddy is already filling up his shoes near the front door.

"Eddy?" I said with a sleepy tone.

The man glances. "Oh, Y/N. Morning."

A tiny smile appear. "Are you going out?"

Eddy seems lost in words. He scratches the nape of his neck, trying to find some answers, maybe. I don't know.

"Um, if you're going out, then... be careful, okay?" I said with a smile.

Eddy smiles back, as if he knows I was kind of worried, he pats my head before he really head out.

Drrt... Drrt...

I'm a little suprised from the vibrate, then smiles slightly when I see who's calling.

"Hey, Belle."

"Hey, Y/N. Long time no see!" Belle's happy voice resonances on my ear. "How have you been? Everything good?"

I chuckle softly. "Yeah. I'm fine, Belle. How about you? What's up?"

"I got a day off for christmas, so I just thought I called you for some updates," Belle laughs. "Did Eddy treat you well?"

"Yeah, he's been worrying so much for me. And..." I said doubtfully. "Well, we've played with some snowballs lately."

"Really? Wow, that's great! I knew he will treat you like a queen!" Belle joked, making me kind of confused but embarrased as well. A red tint appears again on my cheeks.

"Then are you both doing anything today?" Belle asked again.

"Today?" My eyes changed for a moment, trying to understand what she meant.

"Well, it's Christmas Eve. It'll be nice if you both spend time together right?" Belle sounds excited.

"Well, Eddy's out for the time being, I don't know when he will back," I said, discourage with the situation. "I don't know what to do too."

"Hmm, how about this?" Belle starts to tell me a certain plan. As I listened, I felt my smile slowly rise because it seemed like it wouldn't hurt me doing something for my best friend every now and then.

"Okay, Belle, I'll do my best."
