Ansel's pov
I ran into our apartment building and all the way up to our apartment. I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door and put my keys on the counter. "Baby, im here" i yelled out of breath. I walked into the living room and saw no Shai. I ran upstairs to our room and still no Shai. Ok now im getting worried. I looked around the whole house but still, no Shai. I pull out my phone and of course i have Shai on speed dial. It rings. First ring. Second ring. Third ring. Fourth ring. "Hello! You have reached Shailene Woodley! I didn't answer because im probably sleeping or doing something with my handsome fiancée Ansel! Leave a message and ill get back to you as soon as i can, bye!" I hung up, Shai always answers. Where in the world is the love of my life! I have to go find her.
Shai's pov
I open my eyes slowly and try to get up only to find out that I am tied to a chair. My arms are behind my back and my legs were also tied to the legs of the chair. I pulled on the chain but nothing. Its useless. I looked around the room and it looked like the set of alligent. "You like the place?" I voice said in the hall,it sounded familiar. A man walked out of the hallway. "Miles?" He smiled as he walked up to me. "I guess your here a week early." "Exactly everyone is going to be here in a week. What are you going to do then, Ansel will even find me before then." Miles smiled and said "well we don't have to worry about that because we will be moving soon." "We?" I asked then he nodded. I pulled my arms out but all it did was make the chains move. "Are sure about the whole Ansel thing?" Miles asked me after minutes of silence. "What?" "Are you positive you knight im shinning armor will come and save you?" "Yes I am." I say sternly. I hope he will.
Ansel's pov
I looked around our house and block. I looked in every coffee shop or diner but still no Shai. I called Nat over to help me but after 2 hours of looking he had to go. I understand because he is shooting a movie and he needs his rest. I also called the police and told them so now there is a search group looking for her. I miss Shai so much, i want her here with me, i want to hold her in my arms and we could just run around the apartment and do stupid things together. God, i miss her smile, her laugh, her eyes just looking at me, her lips. I just miss Shai. I grab my car keys, i need to calm down and clear my mind.
Shai's pov
"Are you insane! What is wrong with you!" I scream out crying. Its been a day since i've been missing and right now miles just tried taking my clothes off. I miss Ansel so much its not even funny. Im in a living hell right now, every once in a while miles comes into the room and harasses me. Then other times he goes into the hallway and talks to someone which i haven't seen yet, but i can hear their conversations. Miles walks back in the room and says "Get some sleep tomorrows moving day." "But i thought we weren't moving until thursday, today's tuesday" He looked back at me. "Well we don't want you to call Ansel or anything and we don't want anyone coming to set early or what ever then see you here" he said smiling and leaving the hall. "I don't even have my phone and who's we!" I yelled but no one answered. "Ansel where are you!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. As soon as i do i see Miles rushing back into the room. "What the hell Shailene!" He yells and ties a rope to my mouth. He unlocks the chains and as soon as he does i start screaming and kicking. I kicked him in his balls and ran. He grabbed my leg making me fall. As we where fighting the door opened and Miles stopped. "Shit" he ran behind the door and waited for the person to come in. He took out a knife and waited. Seconds later a man about 6'4 wearing a nicks hat walked through the door slowly. Ansel. "Ansel watch out!" I yelled. "Shai?" He started run towards me which would only make it worse because Miles would have a better shot. "Ansel,Miles is behind you with a knife!" I yelled quickly. Ansel threw a punch behind him aimlessly and surprisingly it his Miles right in the face. Miles didn't get up so i guess hes knocked out. We can leave now. I smiled and laughed but i felt a really bad pain in my stomach. I looked down and saw a knife right in my stomach. "Ansel." I gasped then he turned around and his smiled dropped as soon as he saw me. He ran up to me as i fell to the floor. "I-it w-w-was v-viol-letta" i said studdering from the pain. Ansel had tears streaming down his face as he held my head up with his hand. "Hang in there Shai, don't leave me. I love you" "I love you too anse-" I couldn't finish because my eyes closed and my body shut down.
Ansel's pov
I fumbled for my phone, my hands where shaking so much. I've never seen someone get stabbed and to see your fiancée, the love of your life stabbed right in front of your face. Its pretty harsh. I dial 9-1-1 and wait for them to answer.
"9-1-1 what's your emergency?"
"My f-fiancée has been st-abbed in th-the stom-ach."
"Sir, calm down. What is your location?"
"42 Parker street" i said trying to not studder.
"Ok police and ambulances will arriving soon stay with your fiancée"
"Ok thank you."
I look down at Shai. Her face is pale and her lips are blue. I lift up her shirt and see a deep wound in the middle of her stomach. Is Shai dying, is she already dead? I cry into her chest until the ambulance came. The put her on a stretcher and wheel her into the back. I run in after her and sit on the bench next to her. I grab her hand and wait for them to get in. As soon as everyone is in and they started working on Shai. They ripped her shirt which i think was a bit too much. They could have just lifted it up. One doctor shinned a light in both of her eyes but there was no response meanwhile another doctor was checking how deep the cut is. After they cleaned all the blood and everything they took out a heart starter. One nurse yelled out "One, Two, Three... Clear!" Then the other nurse yelled out. "No response." My heart sank everytime they did it and didnt get a response. "One, Two, Three... Clear!" "No response." I lightly squeezed Shailene's hand. We got to the hospital and they wheeled her to the emergency room. I ran after them but one of the doctors stopped me. "Im her fian-" "Yes Mr.Elgort we know but we are going to have to give Ms. Woodley surgery, we will let you know when you can see her." The doctor said rushing back into the surgery room. I sat down and bounced my knees up and down. I cant loose her, im going to kill Miles and Violetta for doing this.
