Shai' s pov
These past three days have been a total bust. Every hour on the dot a nurse comes in to check up on me. Ansel and I have been walked in on so many times that we have gotten use to it. The nurses really do need to know how to knock. Then to top it all off i have a medium sized scar across my belly from the surgery but the doctors said it will fade away. But enough of my ranting, today i am finally gonna be released from the hospital. They took out all the tubes and needles from my body so i can freely move. Ansel came in smiling with my wheel chair. "Ready to get out of here?" "Ready as ill ever be." I said smiling. He picked me up and put me down on the wheelchair. We sighed all the papers so we are free to go. Ansel races out of the hospital. I throw my hands up and laugh as he pushed me faster. When we get to the car me takes me out, sets me down in the passenger seat then folds my wheelchair and puts it in the trunk.
"Do you know if they put you on bed rest?" Ansel asked me while closing his car door. "No, i can walk. That's one of the reasons they kept me for three days but you know i still cant do anything big." I said then he nodded on response. "I wanted to go visit my family since we have a week left until we start filming." "Yeah, that sounds fun. I haven't seen ansel's family in months. "We can leave tonight." I said smiling. Ansel grabbed my hand and we intertwined our fingers together. When we got to a red light Ansel brought my hand up to his mouth and kissed it. I smiled and kissed his cheek. When we got home I packed sleeping clothes and a extra pair of regular clothes in a duffel bag just in case we stay over. I slowly walk downstairs and sit on the couch. Ansel comes down also ready and joins me on the couch. He sits me on his lap and i rest my head on his chest. "Do you want to head out now?" I ask him. "I still want a little alone time." He says. I lift my head up to look at him. I raise my eyebrow in confusion and he surprisingly kisses me. I wrap my arms around his neck and shift in his direction so that im straddling him. My phone starts vibrating so i pull back but Ansel starts slowly kissing down my neck. I look at my phone and see that I received a text from theo and neil the director of alligent. I decided to open Neil's first.
"Hello Shailene, I have received a message saying that you and Ansel will not be joining us for the first week of filming. I hope everything gets better, see you next week!"
I reply saying that we are better now and we will start next week like he said. Ansel was still trying to get my attention so I turned off my phone and looked at him. "Still want us time?" "Yeah i feel like i has been Ansel kissing Shailene's neck time!" I laughed and hugged him. We laid down talking about things as we hugged each other. When it was about 6 we headed out. I grabbed our duffel bag and life savers for us to share. We walked downstairs hand in hand. We got in the car and Ansel threw the duffle bag in the back of the car. To get to ansel's house it probably takes half an hour from our apartment. On the way there we talked, laughed, ate life savers and sang to any song we knew that came on the radio. When we got there Ansel said he wanted to pull a prank on his family. I agreed. We made a plan and it was time to do my part. I opened the door kissed Ansel and told him i would see him on the other side. He laughed and nodded. I closed the door and slowly walked up to the door. It's time. I have to turn my acting skills on. I took a deep breath and started to cry. Once my eyes where red and puffy like i have been crying for hours i knocked on the door. Warren opened it and as soon as he saw me "crying" his face was full with worry. "Shailene are you okay? What's wrong?" "No Warren, im not okay. I told Ansel that i was pregnant and he said he didn't want the baby and he didn't want to marry me anymore!" I said while crying. "Oh my god. Come inside we will talk about it to everyone. I cant believe Ansel would do that." He said in confusion. I but a thumbs up behind my back to tell Ansel that everything went as planned and walked into the house. I walked in and saw that everyone else was watching tv in the family room. Warren told everyone and Ansel's dad look confused like warren. Sophie sat next to me to comfort and hug me and Ansel's mom gave me hot chocolate and said "Ill be right back guys im going to call Ansel and talk to him about this." Just as she about to walk into the kitchen there was a loud banging at the door. Ansel's turn. Ansel's mom walked to the door. I couldn't see anything from there but i could hear it. "Oh Ansel, this isn't the best time right now. I was just about to call you. Maybe you could come lat-" "Where is she!?" Ansel yelled loudly. He looked around the house then got to the family room and stopped right in front of the door. Sophie stood up and stood by my side. Ansel's mom stood behind Ansel. Everyone was ready to tackle Ansel down if he made any stupid actions. We argued about having a baby and not getting married. I tried my best not to laugh and to keep crying. We were almost done. Ansel raised his hand like he was going to hit me but instead we both said "And... scene" We looked at everyones faces. All confused. "We pulled a prank on you guys! We aren't fighting, shai's not pregnant and we are still getting married!" Ansel explained. We are still getting married. It played over and over in my head. Once everyone realized that everything is okay they laughed. Relief washed over their faces. "We got you guys." I said. After we got over the massive prank we pulled, we went to the dining room and ate dinner. "Hey mom, is okay if was stay here for the night?" Ansel asked. "Of course Ansel." After dinner we went back to the family room and played the wii and by we i mean me,Ansel, warren and sophie while ansel's parents watched. We raised in mario kart and played other games until they wanted to watch a movie. To Ansel and my luck they wanted to watch the fault in our stars. They could have picked carrie, divergent or insurgent but they wanted to watch the fault in our stars. Nothing in more awkward than your family watching you and their son and brother making out. So we went on,when it got to the Amsterdam hotel scene i decided to hide into Ansel. I hate kissing in front of family or people i know. Ansel knows this so when i hid Ansel brought his head down with mine. "You okay?" He whispered. "Yeah, just hate how they picked this movie now." I whispered back. Ansel smiled and put his hand on my cheek. "I know, nothing is weirder than your parents and siblings watching you make out with your fiancée on tv. But they probably just did it to mess with us. Our at least warren and sophie did." He said smiling. "This part seems long than usual." We look up from our little huddle and its on the part where Augustus tells hazel that she's beautiful. "Its true." Ansel whispers. I look up at a him and say "what?" "Your so beautiful. Im so lucky." He whispers. I smile and say "Im so lucky." Ansel smiles and leans his head down to mine. He kisses me and i fell uncomfortable, but i know that everyone is focused on the movie and the lights are off so I just focus on Ansel. After the movie is over i feel tired. Ansel agreed and told his mom we are gonna head upstairs. We both said goodnight and headed to our room which is ansel's room. I took our duffel bag and set it on his bed. Ansel took his shirt off and put on his sweatpants. I took off my shirt and jeans and put on one of ansel's shirts that i bought with us. I laid down and put the covers over myself. Ansel came out of the bathroom rubbing his eyes. He jumped in bed making it bounce up and down. I laughed then he also got in the covers. He wrapped his arm around my waist and nuzzled his face into my neck. I sighed and turned around to face Ansel. He groaned and slightly opened his eyes. "Goodnight Ansel." I whisper and kiss his nose. "Good night babe." He says kissing my forehead then nuzzling his face in my chest. I started playing with his hair then eventually ended up falling asleep in ansel's arms.
