Ch. 55: Names

Silence takes the room as everyone became deep in thought.

Until Levi breaks the silence, "I have a proposal too, under one condition."

Everyone gave their attention to Levi, who slowly cast his gaze down to looking at his son sleeping in his arms.

"Commander Erwin, I will continue take part in the meetings and battles when I'm needed. However, under the condition that you would let me spend more time with my family." Levi says, as he glance at your hand laying idly on the armrest, his hand reaches over to clasp his hand over yours, as his fingers gently intertwines his fingers with yours. You look at him with a warm smile. As everyone silently waits for the Commander's answer.

Levi glances at Erwin who is much in thought, as Levi breaks another silence, "We might have another addition to the family soon," Levi says.

Hange leans foward in her chair, "Ooooohhh! Put my gifts to good use," Hange jumps in her chair all too excitedly.

"That was fast, how many days was it?" Connie says under his breathe, as he mentally counts the days you were away on the honeymoon.

Sasha goes to stand in front of you, and kneels down to examine your belly, as she places her hands on your knees, "Is it the size of a potatoe right now?"

You look at her smiling up at you, as she asks, "Did you guys come up with a name for the little one?"

"Not yet..don't know if it's a boy or a girl, and it's a bit too early to say" you say as you can't help but smile back at Sasha.

"Then for now, I'll call you Potatoe," Sasha says as she lightly place the palm of her hand on your belly. You chuckle at her eagerness to name an unborn child.

Connie nods his head slowly as he says "Sounds good, since its gender neutral." agreeing with Sasha with the name Potatoe.

Hange abruptly gets out of her chair and comes to kneel beside Sasha, "Hold up! Who decided you can name the child, I want to name it too." Hange stands up as she thought.

"How about Beanie?" Hange says.

Connie raises an eyebrow at Hange, "Why does that sound like you're naming one of your titans."

"Wait, you're right..hold on I'm thinking," Hange says.

"How about "Armini"," Amrin asks as he strolls to Sasha's side.

"Hey, that just sounds like you're claiming the "godfather" title!," Jean chimes in. "I think... Jeanmini, should be a nice name," Jean says confidently.

"No," a solid voice booms objectively next to you, all of you look at Levi, "I don't want my second child to grow up cursed with a horse face."

A vein pops on the side of Jean's forehead, as he snaps his eyes back at Connie and Sasha covering their mouth with their hands as they snicker.

Connie snickers as he says, "Aren't you trying to be the "godfather" as well?"

Marco stands up next to Jean, with a friendly pat on his back, "How about "Polo"?"

Everyone looks at Marco, while Sasha says, "Marco, we're not playing that game again. We've played it at least a dozen times while Furlan's parent weren't here."

"It will take forever," Connie says with a sigh.

"Cotton ball," Mikasa says suddenly, as everyone looks up at the ceiling and imagine a tiny cotton ball inside your belly.

"Nere," Eren says giving the name some thought.

"That's just your name spelled backwards," Connie says.

Eren clears his throat with a slight blush, as Mikasa glances at him. As Eren nonchalantly and discreetly wanting to claim the "godfather" title.

*Ahem*

Someone clears their throat on the side, with a light chuckle. It was none other than Commander Erwin, as everyone stops talking at freeze in their position, as if they were playing the freeze dance game.

Commander stands up from his seat, "It's okay, keep going. I'll be talking with the Captain in the other room," Commander Erwin says as he points his index finger to the door that leads to his bedroom.

Levi to follows the Commander. As soon as Commander Erwin closes the door behind Levi, everyone starts talking and bickering about naming the unborn child once more.
