"Dear Levi-" I started to draft my first letter that wasn't a response to a passive-aggressive attack from my sister.

"Oh- you're in here," Farlan pushed open the door to Levi's office.

HELLO FARLAN

I had returned to the Duchy a few hours ago after an excruciatingly long trip back from the capital. A part of me was expecting to see Levi hunched over his desk with an ever-growing pile of papers sitting beside him when I entered this room.

that was why i rushed here anyway

i could probably write this back in my room but-

it doesn't feel right

"I'm sorry that I didn't greet you earlier," I apologized, standing up to greet him.

"There's no need, I was just wondering if you were properly settled in again or if you needed my assistance with anything." Farlan waved me off.

"Do you need dresses made? Are you planning on attending an event?" Farlan's eyes gleamed with excitement.

WELL NO BUT .

"I want to get something made for Levi," I murmured, averting my eyes.

IT'S WAY MORE EMBARRASSING TO TELL THAT TO FARLAN

"Oh-" his face dropped slightly.

I KNOW THAT'S SIGNIFICANTLY LESS INTERESTING

"But I wouldn't be opposed to getting something for myself as well-"

"Why didn't you get something made in the capital?" Farlan asked, frowning slightly.

OH WELL ABOUT THAT-

we delayed coming back for half a day to look but everything was way too formal

and i couldn't just ask for a cat maid outfit and then explain that it was actually for my husband not myself to random people getting paid minimum wage

"I was going to but-" I paused, "I couldn't find anything like what I want and I was looking forward to coming home after being gone for so long."

LISTEN IT WAS REALLY ONLY A WEEK OR SO BUT-

IT FELT WAY LONGER WHEN I SPENT ALL THAT TIME TALKING TO PEOPLE

I WAS STRESSED OUT OF MY MIND FOR HALF OF IT

THAT'S ENOUGH INTERACTING WITH FAMILY FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS

FATHER WORSTEST IS GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 18 YEARS BEFORE I'M READY TO SEE HIM AGAIN :/

"I'll call some designers for you."
