A sliver of sunlight shined on Y/N's sleeping face. She squeezed her eyelids tight and tried to roll away from the light. Erwin's arm, which was wrapped around her waist, stopped her movement. This was the first time he had stayed the night in her room, and she had forgotten he was there.

Erwin's entire body lined up with Y/N's; even his legs were bent with hers. He was so close that she could feel his breath on her spine. She loved the warm feeling of being surrounded by Erwin. Y/N wiggled back to snuggle deeper into his embrace.

Despite her best efforts, her movements disturbed Erwin enough for him to hug Y/N tighter. He took a deep breath and sighed as he exhaled. He released Y/N long enough to slip his hand under her shirt. His fingers massaged her breast, and his hips pressed against her ass.

"Good morning," Y/N giggled.

Erwin groaned in protest when she wiggled her body and rolled over to face him. She draped her leg over his hip and strained her neck back to look at his face. His eyes were still closed, and his hair was in disarray. This was the only time that he ever looked this relaxed. Even when he slept, his face was tense because of the nightmares that plagued his sleep. But in this moment, when he teetered between the waking world and his dreams, he looked at peace. Y/N loved getting to witness these brief, tranquil moments each morning.

Y/N peppered his bare chest with kisses as she waited for him to fully wake up. He always took ages to both fall asleep and wake up. Erwin squeezed her closer and kissed the top of her head.

"Morning," his voice was husky with sleep.

In a flash, Y/N was on her back with, a now very awake, Erwin on top of her. He cocked his head to the side and smirked.

"Are you ready to tell everyone today?" Erwin asked.

Y/N nodded. "Speaking of, we should really be getting ready for breakfast."

Erwin's head drooped onto the pillow behind Y/N's head. "I think we can find the time, don't you?" He kissed her neck, then dragged his teeth across the sensitive skin.

Y/N giggled. "Not an option, sir." She pushed her head to her shoulder to cut off Erwin's access.

Erwin huffed. He pressed his lips to hers then sat up.

"You're right, little one. Let's get ready." Erwin extended his hand to help her sit up.

Y/N followed Erwin into the cafeteria. She walked a few paces behind him as he headed for her usual table. They had decided to tell her friends first, then Levi and Hange. After that, he would handle telling the necessary higher ups, then they figured it would spread naturally through word of mouth.

They definitely garnered some looks as they walked in together, but no one was rude. Her table of friends froze and stared up at Erwin. When Y/N stopped next to him, their eyes darted back and forth between her and Erwin. Eren had a slice of bread hanging from his mouth with his eyes wide. Reiner was the only one with enough sense to salute the Commander.

"Good morning, Commander," Reiner shouted, shocking the rest into similar salutes.

Y/N quieted her snicker at her flustered friends. Even Erwin had a tiny smirk on his lips for a brief moment.

"Good morning, cadets," Erwin greeted them. "Y/N and I wanted to thank you all for your discretion over the last few weeks. You won't have to keep the secret any longer, however. We've decided to go public, and the necessary people will know within the next few days."

Y/N looked to see if Erwin was finished talking. He's so clinical about it, Y/N laughed to herself.

"We wanted to tell you guys first," Y/N smiled at the group.

"Congratulations," Armin and Mikasa said in unison.

Eren and Reiner looked at each other with smirks of their own. Connie smiled while Jean continued eating.

"Anyways, thanks again. I'll see you guys later." Y/N smiled and waved.

Erwin turned to the kitchen where he assumed he would find Hange and Levi. Y/N followed behind him. She felt lighter as their secret faded away.

"Commander!" Hange greeted the two as they walked into the kitchen.

Hange stood next to Levi who reclined in a chair with a cup of tea in his hand. His face maintained its stoicism as Erwin began to speak.

"Y/N and I wanted to inform you two that we are dating."

Hange squealed and ran to Y/N into a hug. Hange rocked them side to side as she held Y/N. Levi squinted at the three of them.

"Why are you telling us this? We already know." Levi complained.

Hange whipped her head to glare at Levi. "He means that they're officially dating now."

Not a hint of emotion crossed Levi's face. He continued staring at them with a deadpan look on his face.

"He's excited on the inside," Hange said as she moved to hug Erwin.

"I assume you'll be going to the capitol soon, then?" Levi asked.

Y/N wasn't excited that Erwin had to leave to tell his superiors that he was dating a fellow Scout. She understood it's necessity, but she wasn't looking forward to sleeping alone again.

"Yes, I'll be leaving in the next day or so. Will you accompany me?" Erwin replied.

Levi nodded.

"Hange, as always, you'll be in charge of Headquarters while we're gone," Erwin continued.

"Yes, sir! And I'll be sure to keep Y/N busy." Hange nudged Y/N who chuckled in response.

"Thank you both," Erwin said again. "We need to fill out the paperwork, so we'll be going."

"I'll be in the lab after lunch," Y/N said to Hange. "It was nice seeing you, Captain Levi."

Y/N waved as they left the kitchen. The two walked down the halls to his office, and Y/N was ready to complain a little.

"Do you really have to go all the way to the capitol? I find it hard to believe they care that much." Y/N pushed her bottom lip out.

Erwin chuckled and pulled her into a quick side hug. "We're also going to discuss this MP 'liaison' that was sent to headquarters. This way I only have to leave once."

Erwin released her with a smile.

"I suppose that is kind of you," Y/N joked.

"Come on, you said you'd be back after lunch, right? Then we should finish this paperwork as soon as possible." Erwin smirked and raised his eyebrow at her.

Y/N blushed but began walking faster to his office.
