Y/N walked the familiar path from the lab to Erwin's office. She had worked straight through dinner without realizing. The only reason she stopped was because Hange came in to yell at her to go eat dinner.

After Erwin had decided to continue with the mission, they set to work completing extra preparations for it. As most of the actual preparations had already been made, the rest of the work was tedious. Levi's squad had been tasked with collecting everyone's ODM gear for inspection. While, Hange's squad was scouring every map of their planned route that they had access to.

Y/N spent the day hunched over a yellowed map; it was the oldest she could find. She was looking for any places that MPs could hide that might not be on the newer maps. Others were planning multiple escape routes and predicting the potential paths the MPs and Titans could take. Y/N wondered if maybe these tasks were just to keep everyone busy, but she also knew how meticulous Erwin could be.

Y/N's eyes squeezed shut as a big yawn stretched open her mouth. A squeal of shock escaped her when she collided with something firm mid-yawn. Her eyes snapped open to see a familiar bolo tie.

"Hello, little one," Erwin greeted her with a smile. "I was looking for you."

Erwin wrapped his broad arms around Y/N's shoulders, and she leaned into the hug.

"I was coming to find you. Sorry, I worked through dinner," Y/N said and tightened her arms around him.

Erwin kissed the top of her head then rested his cheek in the same place. "No need to apologize; I did the same. Why don't we go eat?" Erwin pulled back to look at her.

Y/N's stomach audibly growled at the mention of food.

"Ugh, yes please. I'm starving," Y/N was already walking to the cafeteria.

Erwin chuckled as she dragged him along.

Once they made it to the kitchen, Erwin found the pot of leftover bean soup and two small loaves of bread. Y/N was surprised that there were any leftovers at all. She had witnessed Sasha clear out any remaining food on more than one occasion. In fact, Y/N usually just went to bed if she worked through dinner because of those occasions. Erwin must have noticed her confusion.

He looked sheepish as he said, "I do this so often that the cooking staff began saving me a plate."

Erwin carried the pot over to the large, stone fireplace and hung it over the flames. Then he turned back to Y/N.

"Though, I am convinced that they save me at least a portion and a half. I'm never able to finish it."

"That's very kind of them," Y/N said as she sat at the wooden table

While Erwin stirred the soup, she picked at one of the loaves of bread.

"I'm happy to have someone to share it with now," Erwin added.

"You say that until I've eaten too much and you're still hungry after," Y/N joked.

"Have as much as you would like, little one," Erwin chuckled.

When Y/N finished her dinner, she leaned her head on his shoulder.

"I'm stuffed. They really give you so much food," Y/N heaved a sigh.

"Mhm," Erwin said, but he sounded distracted.

Then his hand dropped to her thigh. His fingers dipped down between her thighs, then he dragged his hand up towards her. He stopped right when his pinky brushed against her center. His fingertips gripped the squishy inside of her thigh.
