Erwin's Return

For anyone who skipped last chapter, the events are summarized in this one, so you won't miss anything.

Erwin was so excited to see Y/N that Levi was almost jogging to keep up with him. He had been like this all morning. He insisted on leaving before the sun had come up, and they rode at a breakneck speed the majority of the trip. Now, his long legs were making a bee line from the stables to headquarters.

His time in the capitol had gone well enough. He submitted the paperwork for his relationship with Y/N without issue. However, he hadn't been able to get rid of the MP liaison.

"He's there to facilitate communication between the branches. Give him the chance to be effective."

Erwin sneered at the memory of Darius Zackly's words.

Whatever. I'll deal with it after I've seen Y/N.

He felt a little flutter in his chest at the thought. He could picture walking into the main room of the lab and finding his girlfriend diligently working at her little desk. Erwin was just about to sprint up the stairs when he heard his name being called. Both Levi and Erwin looked in the direction of the sound and saw Hange running towards them.

"Hange?" Erwin questioned.

He looked back to Levi, who only shrugged in response. As she reached them, she nearly took out Levi in her haste.

"Tch! Damn it, four eyes."

"Ha, sorry, shorty." Her smile faded as she turned to Erwin.

"Erwin, it's about Y/N."

His heart stopped, and his breath caught in his throat.

"She had a run in with-"

"Where?"

"She's shaken, but not injure-"

"Where is she, Hange?!" Erwin roared.

"She's in the lab, but..."

Erwin was already bolting up the stairs.

"Commander!" Hange yelled after him.

"What happened?"

Hange turned towards Levi and sighed. "Ryker has been harassing her since you guys left."

"What?" Levi's shock was evident.

"Last night, he went into Erwin's office, and Y/N felt so threatened that she pulled Erwin's gun on him."

"WHAT?!" Levi shouted.

"I need you two to stop yelling at me," Hange covered her ears.

"Sorry," Levi lowered his voice. "Where the hell is Ryker at now?"

"He's being held in the basement."

Levi took a deep breath. "Fuck..." he sighed. "This will be interesting."

Erwin slid around the corner and continued sprinting to the lab. He didn't even know why he was running yet, but the look on Hange's face had scared him enough. As he neared the lab, he began slowing down.

He yanked the door open and stormed into the room. His eyes were immediately on Y/N. Her whole body lurched forward as she cowered from the noise. She didn't turn around but remained sitting at her desk. The only movement that Erwin could see was the trembling of her shoulders.

Erwin felt sick. Who has my Y/N this shaken?

His anger was flooded by his guilt. Guilt for leaving her and for adding to her fear with his entrance.

"Y/N?" Erwin's voice wavered.

She whipped around, and when she saw that it was Erwin, her entire body visibly relaxed into her chair. Erwin took in her pale face and the dark circles under her swollen eyes. He rushed over to her and kneeled at her feet.

"Y/N, baby," Erwin pressed his hand against her cheek. "Are you okay?"

Y/N's eyebrows knit together, and her chin began to tremble. She shook her head 'no.' A tear escaped her eye and ran down her cheek. Erwin ached to comfort her.

"Oh, little one."

Erwin pulled her into his embrace. She burrowed her head into the crook of his neck and leaned down onto him. Y/N slid off of the chair and settled into his lap. With her arms and legs wrapped around him, they sat until Y/N stopped shivering. All the while, Erwin was growing more and more angry.

She's not physically hurt, but who the fuck scared her?

"Y/N," Erwin paused until she raised her head. "Who did this to you?"

"Ryker."

"The MP?!"

Y/N flinched at his sudden volume.

"I'm sorry." Erwin gave her a kiss and moved his hands to her hips. "I'm sorry. Please keep going."

"Yes, the MP. He creeped me out, so I asked Hange if I could work in your office yesterday."

It happened in my office. I could've been there. I could've stopped this.

"In the afternoon, I showered, and when I got out, he was in your office."

"Were you dressed?" Erwin used all of his will power to remain quiet and calm.

"No."

I'll kill him.

"He wouldn't leave, so I pointed your pistol at him. Then he left."

Erwin laced his arms around her waist and squeezed her against him. That was so close to being so much worse.

Y/N rested her chin on his head which she held against her chest.

"I'm so sorry, Y/N," Erwin mumbled.

"It's okay. It wasn't that serious. I just got scared."

Erwin looked up. "It is serious, little one." He grimaced. "And it will be handled accordingly."

Y/N nodded once, then they heard a knock.

"Commander?" Levi called as he opened the door.

Hange entered behind him. Erwin didn't move despite their intimate position. He continued looking at Y/N.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" Erwin asked her.

"Yes," she whispered.

She felt bad, but she didn't want him to leave yet. Erwin nodded and turned to Levi. Without a word, Levi knew what Erwin wanted. They both nodded at each other.

"Do you need anything, Y/N?" Hange offered as Levi left the room.

"No. Thank you, Hange," Y/N answered.

Hange closed the door as she left.

"Quit scaring me like this, little one."

Erwin leaned his forehead against her sternum. His fingers ghosted up and down her back. Y/N melted into him. She felt like she could finally relax.

After a few minutes, Y/N had calmed down enough to appreciate that Erwin had returned. She rolled her hips against his lap. Erwin tensed and his hand froze on her back. With another roll, Erwin's hand dropped to her ass, and she could feel him getting hard. He dug his fingertips into her flesh and began moving her hips to grind on him.

Erwin leaned his head back as he moaned. Y/N pulled his free hand to her breast which he began to massage. His head bowed to bite the exposed part of her breast. He sucked a small, purple mark into her soft skin.

"Gods, I missed you," Erwin groaned when he released her. "Now stand up and take off your clothes."
