chapter two -▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
AN ECHO of an laughter that could be heard in empty street of Tokyo. Hanma didn't realized he was already laughing together with you while doing crazy things a teenager would do in such era. A melody that he would like to drown himself in- to be stuck in a eternity with it.
It seems like Hanma has a new person to hang out with to fill out his deceased partner in crime. Even though the things you were doing aren't related to any gang fights, the excitement was still present as it pumps fast enough.
Cheat games and such- now both teenagers were vandalizing a wall with a spray paint they took, more like steal, from someone who wasn't looking around.
"You're doing it wrong," A clicked your tongue as you corrected him- taking the spray paint from the hooded man's hands with a big grin left on his face. Tracing the lines that you had layered out in the walls, the strong smell of chemicals that can be smelled. "You have to do it like this."
"Who are you? My teacher?" Hanma retorted, leaning at your side. His breath hits your exposed neck but still- you were focused on the lines of the concrete wall.
You gave him a sided glare, "Shut up. You're annoying. I guess it was a bad idea to let you join me," But in truth you were really having fun with the man beside you.
Another laughter that echoes throughout the empty street with a streetlight and a moon- the only source of light. You took a quick glance at the man behind you- a grin that appeared on your face. Hanma gave a loud sigh as it was being replaced by a smirk, his chin lying ontop of your shoulders, "Didn't you told me that you were starting to like me?"
"I can always take those words back," You playfully laughed- retreating back your arm to your side. Your eyes takes a peek at the man who was resting his chin on your shoulders, unwelcomed. A sigh left out, plunging your elbows to hit his stomach. "Moreover, getting comfortable aren't we?"
An arm wrapped around Hanma's stomach to ease the pain he received from your sturdy elbows, "There's nothing wrong with it, right?"
"We don't even know eachother's name yet," You stated- turning your body to face with him. A chilly breeze that made its way just for the both of you. Hanma raises his head, his eyes met with yours.
True, two people just hanging in a empty street with no names mentioned. Getting close- and the comfort that was being presented within the calming atmosphere is something you would like to have until the end. But how long would the company will end its journey?
A tunnel where all things would be kept, moving to another tunnel as a new year passes by. Supposedly, at the end of the life- no tunnels would appear now and then.
One can now fly off peacefully- sleeping in their own empty train.
Hanma collected himself up, taking off the hoodie that has been covering his face. You stared at his eyes, thinking how mesmerizing it is to be looking into it.
"I'm Hanma Shuuji," The man before you introduced himself- placing his hands inside of the pockets of his hoodie. "And you are?"
A teasing smile appears on your face, "I'm [Last Name] [Name]. Nice to meet you, Shuuji."
Hanma pursed his lips- blinking and trying to comprehend that you were using his first name even though you both know nothing about eachother. Slowly, his face eased- his pursed lips turns into a smirk, "First name basis aren't we, [name]?"
"There's nothing wrong with it, right?" You cheeky makes up its way on your face, leaning at the man infront of you. Repeating his words from awhile ago.
As if time had stopped from in Hanma's point of view. Pair of eyed he could stare all day, a voice he would like to sleep at, and a company he can be with. A moment he wish to never let go from his memories.
"Hey!" A sound in a certain distance. Hanma comes back in reality and blinked. You swallowed as the both of you turned your head at the sound of the voice, "You thugs be vandalizing a private property!"
A scoff you had left out, swiftly spinning your body at the man infront of you- taking a hold of his hand. Hanma could feel the warmth of your hand through his cold ones, he slowly made his eyes up to yours only to be welcomed by a beam on thr face.
"Run! Hurry!" Yanking onto Hanma's hand as you ran for your life away from the nightwatchman who was feet away from the both of you. A laugh escapes from your mouth whilst running beneath the bright moon- guiding the way for the both of you. A scene that could happen in movies that you watch seemingly turns like a real life movie as you and Hanma being the main cast.
Adrenaline rushed out, both of you were breathless after ten minutes straight in the big city of Tokyo. You leaned at the wall of an hushed alleyway- trying to catch your breath, smudging off the sweat that was running down through your forehead.
Hanma gulps down the saliva that has been forming in his mouth, making his way beside you. You eyed at him, "Are they gone?"
Taking a peek from the corner- there was no one looking around for two teenagers, the coast is clear. You look back at the man beside you with thumbs up.
"It's all clear but I think we should stay here a little bit longer," You suggested- crossing both of your arms together.
Hanma chuckles- he didn't expect for you to make a big scene. If Hanma was the only person there, he would beat the shit out of the nightwatchman- but instead he was being tugged by you which made him to follow your steps.
Raising a brow, you eyed him, "What's with that laugh?..."
"Nothing," Hanma quickly waves it off. "Being with you feels like a circus. That's all."
Scoffing, you nudged his shoulders. "What a freak!" A laughter that echoes to Hanma's ear once again. The sense of nostalgia that he had almost forgotten was now encountered. Hanma turns his head to meet with your resting face- corners of your lips were visibly curved up. Eyes that were closed and kissable lips he would like to receive.
What's up with Hanma today? Whenever he looks at you, he couldn't help but would like to stick by your side. The last time someone had felt him like this was months ago- that guy was the first person to make his life like a showdown.
If Kisaki didn't died... then Hanma wouldn't get to meet the person sitting beside him. Hanma had never crossed paths with you in all alternative timelines.
"I'm so gorgeous. I know- no need to say it," You startled Hanma off- the soft stare he gave you, it was obvious. You decided to let him stare more into your beautiful face- letting him immerse himself. You giggled, opening your eyes and twisting your head to glance at the man beside you.
"Let's head over to my place now. It's almost two o'clock in the morning."
Having fun with a stranger feels like a fever dream. If only there is something that could stop time then Hanma has the choice of staying here forever.
