night ride.
chapter six -

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

EVERYTHING WAS going well for the two teenagers who frequently hangs out in your once quiet and empty apartment which is now occupied by lots of laughter you won't ever forget. The one who lits up both of your worlds with a type of magic you both wouldn't understand.

Hanma would sleep right next to you after a draining day of smiling and teasing then would disappear once you have woken up, even so you would wait for him to come back every single day- in which he would come back and history repeats itself.

Both of you exchanged numbers to be in contact with each other. Hanma would notify you that he's out in the city while leaving you hanging back in the lonely space where you had nothing left to do but stare at the void.

It was starting to become a habit of sitting down in the kitchen whilst waiting for him. Dull and boring- you had nothing else left to do without the man staying beside you.

But when he is around you, a new show begins each single day. Fireworks spikes up in your stomach.

Hanma was liking it- he was liking the fact how your words always never fails to amaze him. Without even trying, he would always follow your lead- taking him to places unknown.

And slowly, he was starting to forget about his past life as being part in the world full of delinquency. Those days wherein he would brutally beat up other delinquents no longer lingers in his mind but your smile.

A smile he would want to see everytime he would see you.

Not a single person knows that a week had already passed by. It's like what they say- time flies fast when you're having fun.

"You didn't told me you have a bike," You stared at the man leaning back on his motorcycle, smoking a cigarette, with a smirk on his face. Hanma texted you to come out since he won't be entering your apartment room- a little surprise he wants to give you. You didn't had any choice but agree to his words, wondering maybe he has something to show and he did.

Hanma giggles and properly sat himself down, "C'mon. Let's take a ride."

Biting your lower lip, you quickly made your way at the man waiting for you jump on the backseat. A rush of excitement that came into you, it was your first time riding a bike. This is definitely going to be fun for the both of them.

Who would've thought that the brutal Hanma would get attached at a mere stranger he had met just a week ago? He already has an answer for that. Hanma loves your company- words that makes him want to stay. You all have of that- but he still doesn't know whats staying on your mind.

Even so, he won't bother asking any reason for it.

A laugh Hanma lets out- increasing the speed of his motorcycle in the colorful streets of Tokyo. None of you were wearing any helmets, you both might die in a crash but luckily there were only few people walking down the streets. After all, who would stay out so late at night? They would be freezing their bodies out in the cold.

You were enjoying the moment, you felt alive after a tragedy of a life you've went through. After meeting Hanma, you found comfort in him but you promised yourself to never get attached to him. You might receive a compelling message from the gods who are looking down on you.

Strands of hair flowing behind you. One arm wrapped around Hanma's waist, another was raised above. A wide spread smile that you made and the young man saw when he took a glance from the side mirror.

Hanma chuckles, "Hang on tight."

Left perplexed, you slowly lowered your arm. Your brows furrowed, "What do you mean?..."

No reply but instead the man taking control of the mechanic speeds up. Your heart jumps out from the speed, swiftly you wrapped both of your arms around his waist with an immense amount of grip- hoping that you wouldn't fall out from your seat.

"You bitch!" Cursing, you hid your face at the corners of Hanma's neck. Scared of the fact that both of you might end up on the cement, bleeding out. "We're going to die!"

Ignoring your words but instead Hanma continues to zoom his way. Enjoying the reaction you were having and eventually slows down until he had enough. Hanma laughs, "Might want to try that again."

"Die," You pierced your eyes through his skull. Hanma can feel the glare you were giving, he awkwardly chuckles before taking you to a place to cool down.

Covering your face with the hoodie Hanma had given, you sighed. Both of you decided to take a stop nearby a twenty four seven convenience store in which Hanma offered to buy snacks for you two to eat and drink. And currently, you were waiting for him outside, sitting on one of the stores table.

It was way too much that you couldn't keep up with all of the recent events. You were scared to lose someone- you don't want that to happen again. Desperate of bringing them to the future, it didn't happen- you were too dense and thought that everything was fine then kept on doing the same mistake.

How many months have been going back to the past and future?... Five to nine months perhaps? You couldn't remember- you were stuck in this timeline now. There's no going back to the future.

A cold can meets your cheeks startled you. Slowly spinning your head around, your eyes met with Hanma's. He grins, "What's keeping your mind up?"

You didn't replied immediately, you just took the cold drink from his hand and turned your face back to the front. Hanma raises a brow, wondering why haven't you answered him.

"Nothing," You finally answered him with a simple smile he couldn't couldn't understand. Yeah, nothing is keeping your mind but your expression says otherwise. Hanma couldn't help but be concerned, he stays silent.

Drinking a gulp of your drink, with a pair of eyes staring at your actions- you leaned in the man infront of you. "So, It's been a week since we both met haven't we?"

There's the side Hanma knows. But he just couldn't ignore the expression you were giving him seconds ago. Hanma relaxes his face, leaning back from his seat and agrees with your words.

"It is," He says closing his eyes together as the atmosphere turns into an utter silence that you both gave.

You stared at the man infront of you, admiring the look he has on his face. If Hanma would not be in the future you will be having then might as well just enjoy the present you were having today.

"What about... moving in to my apartment?"
