to hanma, from me.
chapter twenty -
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
ONE WEEK felt like an eternity, that's what Hanma thought. As if he was trapped inside a room filled with nothing else but staring deeply into the void finding complete darkness.
Dim- his mind was dim. The simplest things that he was doing, it was dull not like when he was doing those things together with you.
"Time will go fast if we didn't cared-" He says, but why does it seem like he was caring too much? His mind couldn't help thinking about you. Thoughts that were worrying about what would happen to you- Have you eaten properly? Was your cousin taking a good care for you? Or rather perhaps did you spend your time dull too? He hopes he did.
Cause the minute he will come back to you, they'll both keep on continuing living. Just the two of them in a loathsome world.
Just a few more days... Hanma stares on the clock. The only source of sound ticking every second that had passed by. He leans back on the chair he was sitting on with a groan.
He wants to get over the days quickly, just for him to see you again.
The moment he would ring the doorbell to your apartment, he would see you opening the door up with a widespread smile on your face and a angelic laughter that he missed hearing. Your lingering scent roams around and the sense of familiarity with eachother. The both of you would laugh.
After that, your warm hands that were placed against his arms- pulling him closer to your body and letting the man enter the spacious room he missed hanging around.
Two figures that took up the whole space of the couch. Hanma sitting while your head laid down on his lap- both of you would be looking at each other. A quick smile here and there before he gets to hear words coming out.
Your voice- oh, how he really do missed it. The sun would be peeking out from the window as you talked about the days of you hanging out around with your relative. Maybe even complain about how annoying they were then silence comes after.
And the both of you were immersed with each other's gazes. Three simple words he will hear from you.
I miss you.
That's how he would imagined it. But walking up to your place- it oddly felt different and it made him worried. With each step he takes, he could hear his heart pump fast. Hanma swallows, the moment he'll be on your floor everything will go well for sure.
One ring, two rings, three rings. No one answered- it was quiet. He was pressing the doorbell for a while now and yet still no one. This has to be a prank on him right? Cold sweat of drops were now falling down his face. Eyes that held emotions, he still wants to believe you're staying inside the apartment room.
"[name] was right," A familiar voice Hanma heard when they came over to visit the young lady. Hanma turns his head to meet with a soft yet saddened smile. It was the grandma who came by days ago. She tilted her head slightly to the side.
"You came back for her."
Hanma nodded his head, "I did... Could you tell me where she is right now?"
