"How are you not dressed by now?" Andy asked me with crossed arms. I looked up from my keyboard to meet his gaze.

"I was just gonna wear this." I stated. Andy looked me up and down.

"We're going to a club not the library, go change." He insisted.

"Okay in a minute, I'm just in the middle of a sentence."

He sat down next to me on the couch, "What are you doing?"

"With everything that happened yesterday, I guess I woke up inspired. At first I thought that I was writing a song for work but now it's turned into the first thirty pages of a book."

"Wow Summer, that's incredible! What's it about?" He asked.

"It's a love story, a tale as old as time." I shut my laptop and leapt to my feet.

"You gotta let me read it when we get back." He said and I nodded.

I looked down at my watch, "We should get going." I stated and he shook his head. "What's wrong?"

"I'm not going out with you wearing that. Who wears a cardigan to a club?"

"I don't really have a lot to choose from, half my wardrobe is in storage along with half my furniture."

"I'll be right back and whatever I come out with you are wearing." He stated. He came back five minutes later with high waisted red leggings and a white v-neck halter top.  "And wear your brown heels." He ordered. I audibly sighed and took his advice, and he finally let us leave to the club.

As soon as we arrived, Andy had us taking shot after shot until one of his favourite songs came on and he dragged me out onto the dance floor. It was hot and crowded, Andy kept me close the entire time. We both eventually tired out on the dance floor and he pulled me outside.

"Where are we going now?" I asked and he shook his head.

"It's a surprise, but you'll love it." He stated.

I yanked my arm back, "Andy you know I hate surprises."

He turned around, "Yeah I know, you're right." I walked closer, I thought he was going in for a hug, that was until I heard his devious laugh. He threw me over his shoulder and called a cab.

"That wasn't funny." I said as I sat down in the cab.

"The look on your face was worth it." He said and smiled. I slouched in the seat and leaned onto him. "What are you thinking right now?" He asked.

"I'm thinking that I'm almost thirty and it feels like I skipped over my twenties. I don't regret anything but I just wish that I had gone out more." I said and Andy brushing my hair away from my face.

"You're still in your twenties, we have plenty of activities to cover tonight." He said and I smiled.

The cab finally stopped at a dark building with a bright red door. Andy led the way with my hand in his as we walked through the building. We eventually reached the end of the hall and Andy opened the door, and then I heard the familiar sound of drunken people rocking out karaoke style. In a burst of excitement I hugged him.

"You know me too well Biersack." I said.

"We're only staying for a few songs, we got more to do tonight, so go pick out what we're singing, I'll get us some drinks." He said.

We performed Don't Go Breaking My Heart, I've Had The Time Of My Life, and Lucky before Andy pulled me into another cab.

"Okay what's next? And don't say it's a surprise." I asked.

"Casino?" He asked, I shook my head. "Strip club?"

"No."

"Tattoo parlour?"

"Yeah, alright. But we're getting matching ones." I insisted.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."

We chose a symbol that had both our initials

We chose a symbol that had both our initials. As we left the parlour it began to rain, Andy and I started laughing.

"Of course we'd get caught in the rain." I shouted.

"Nothings better than nature's shower." He said and I laughed. He bowed and held out his hand to me, "Ma'lady?"

I took his hand and we slow danced in the parking lot. I have no idea how long we were there for, it was as if time stopped for awhile and we didn't even think about leaving until the raining stopped. I looked up into his eyes and met his gaze, "This is nice." I whispered.

"It is, but we should probably get inside and dry off, you're shaking." He said, breaking from our embrace.

He called another cab and took me home. When we got back to the apartment, he ordered a pizza and tossed me some pyjamas from my dresser, "Put these on, I'm gonna go change." He said walking back into my room.

I began to change in the living room, "Andy, how are you not as drunk as me?" I yelled to him.

I heard him chuckle, "You're gonna feel a lot better when the pizza arrives." He said.

After I put on my pyjamas, I wrapped the blanket from the couch around my shivering frame. I walked back into my room to find Andy sitting shirtless while on his phone. I poked his arm, "What are you doing?" I asked.

"I was thinking about doing something stupid." He said and put down his phone.

"If you miss her then you should message her." I said and he shook his head.

"I don't wanna stir the pot, if I message her then I'm gonna make the whole situation into an even bigger mess. No, the best thing that I can do for her is let her move on with her life."

I brushed his hair away from his face, "And you want her to move on?" I asked.

"No," his voice lightly cracked, "but I can't keep hurting her just because I don't know what I want."

I pulled him into a hug, "I think we need more shots." I said and he chuckled. We released from our hug.

"I think you might be right, I'll grab the whiskey." He got up, kissed the top of my head and went straight to the kitchen. I returned to the living room, dragging my blanket along with me. Andy joined me on the couch with shot glasses and a bottle of Jack, and his expression soften when he looked at me.

"What?" I asked, almost giggling.

"It's just nice to have my friend back." He poured a shot for each of us and handed it to me.

"It's nice to be back."
