Chapter XVI: Slowly

Jennie's P. O. V

I'm here inside the SC office alone, it's still early and it's already the third day of our sports fest so I'll be posting on the bulletin board on which teams will be playing for the first place.

~knock~
~knock~

"Come in!" I said loudly so the person can hear me. A sound of a door opening and closing can be heard inside the SC office.

"Jen" I looked up and saw Kai standing near the door.

"Oh, hey" I greet. He walks towards me and sat on the chair in front of me.

"Where were you last night?" he asked.

"Condo" I answered shortly.

"Look, I know you're mad. But let me explain about everything" he said. I stopped what I was doing and glanced at him.

"Kim Mingyu, he likes you since high school but you only treat him as a friend, you never liked him" he starts. I was surprised at what he said, so it really is true!

"When you got into an accident, you were in a critical condition that time that made them so worried. So they decide to get overprotective over you, especially dad" he explained.

"Then what does Mingyu have to do with their problem?" I asked, confused.

He sighs. "Something happened before you got into an accident that led you to your condition now, but I can't tell you what it was" a cat got my tongue, I actually don't know what to say.

"W–why not?!"

"I want you to remember it yourself, Jen. I don't want to surprise you" he said and stood up. I watched him walk away, stopping near the door and looks back at me.

"But let me advice you, try to listen on what the person will say..." he smiled a little before leaving me all confused. Now I badly want to remember everything!

"Morning, are you done?" I saw Irene getting inside the office and sitting on the couch.

"Uh, yeah. Almost" I said and continues on typing but my mind drifting off again.

"Jen, about Mingyu..." I looked at her.

"I'm sorry I lied, it was what your dad wants" she apologized while looking down. I smiled.

"It's okay..." I said that made her looked up to me. "But is there anything else you want to say?" I asked her.

"There are many...but I want you to be the one to remember it all. I'm not in the position to tell you" she said. I nod my head.

"I see...then expect that I'll be remembering it all soon" I said with a smile. She looks at me in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"These past few days, I'm having different kinds of dreams with that guy. I feel like I knew him and I knew that we both have a great time" I said, thinking about the guy in my dreams.

"That's good then, but take it all slowly so you won't faint again" I nod and send her a smile. She smiled back and goes back to her place.

Wendy's P. O. V

I'm walking in the hallway right now with a pissed off face, because Kang fucking Seulgi accidentally poured her damn juice on my fucking white shoes! The games hasn't started yet but my shoes are all dirty now!
