Chapter XXV: Yes

Third Person's P. O. V

"Oh my!" they all turned around and saw Liam's grandma. They all stood up to greet the old lady.

"Is this Jennie?!" she asked excitedly with a wide smile.

"Ah, yes, halmeoni" Liam grins.

"Good evening, Mrs. Manoban" Jennie smiles.

"Just call me halmeoni, dear" Liam's grandma said still with a smile. Jennie smiles back when the emmcee, aka Liam's cousin, spoke.

"Good evening everyone!"

"You're so hyped, Sorn! Turn down will you?!"

"Shut up Chittaphon!" Sorn said, rolling her eyes at the guy who also did the same to her.

"Anyways, we will be starting our games now! First will be for the adults, so they can just watch later when it's time for the kids to play" Sorn said.

"Adults? Does that mean we'll be playing too?" Jungkook asked, confused.

"Obviously you dumbass!" Jimin said chuckling. 

"Let's join!" Wendy exclaims, grabbing her cousins. The games started already, Wendy, Liam, Jimin, and Chaeng joined the game and played with their other cousins that also had the same age as them. The others were just watching the two having fun in the game. 

"It's been awhile that I've seen my grandson smiled and laughed that genuinely" Jennie turns her head to the old woman, same goes to the others, but only Jennie has the curious look.

"What do you mean, halmeoni?" she asked. 

"Liam experienced a lot of challenges in, even when he was still young. When he was just the same age as Seungjae, he was so carefree. He just enjoyed being young, well--until that incident happened" Jennie hums since she already knows about the incident. "He barely smiles and eats, he locked himself up for years..." they were just listening, feeling sad for their friend. "That's why we didn't had a choice, and adopted Seungjae" 

"Eh?! Really?!" everyone exclaims in shock. The woman gave a small smile before nodding. 

"But--" 

"But he didn't mentioned it to you all, right?" Liam's grandma said, and everyone nods feverishly. "It's because he treats Seungjae as his real brother, we adopted Seungjae when Liam was still fifteen. Despite the gap of their age, Liam still took care of the little one, Seungjae became his strength" 

"We...we didn't know about those. He only told us about the incident" Seulgi said with furrowed brows. 

"He's very secretive" the old woman chuckles. 

"Did he also experienced the same thing with his ex?" Jennie asked in wonder. All present in the table snapped their heads towards the brunette with their eyes widen in surprise. 

"Why? Did I say something wrong?" Jennie asked confusedly. 

"You...who told you that he has an ex?" Kai asked incredulously. 

"He told me himself"

"Wait, really? When was that?" V asked, not believing his cousin.

"When I got into an argument with my parents and ran away from home. I met Liam at the park and had a talk" Jennie said fixing her eyes at Kai. "But he didn't told me what happened though, he only said that they had to part. I can't remember when it was, but I do remember that he mentioned that his ex thought that he cheated and left him..." Jennie said thoughtfully, staring at the guy playing.
