Jennie's P. O. V

I sat on the chair that was here in the terrace. We started giving out some of the donations earlier. It's been a month since that revelation and a month of avoiding them.

"Try giving him a chance, before it's too late this time"

His words kept on bugging me since yesterday.

"Jen, our program is about to start"

Thinking about our situation right now, hurts me.

"Jennie"

I sighed, feeling my head hurting from all the thinking. I feel like I'll faint soon.

"Jennie Kim!" I got startled when someone shouts. I turned around to look at the culprit and glared.

"What the hell, Dahyun?! Why are you yelling?" I growled. She rolled her eyes.

"Duh, I was calling you but you weren't listening" she said, crossing her arms.

I sighed, facing back in front. I glanced at my watch to see the time, and I still have ten minutes before the program starts.

"I'll be there in five" I mumble, crossing my arms, feeling the ocean breeze hit my skin.

"Are you alright?" I heard her ask but I didn't answer. I heard her small steps coming to me.

"Is this about the...?" she trailed off, standing at my side. I nod my head slightly.

"Look," she paused, sitting in front of me before continuing, "I know what they did wasn't right. They have reasons. Uncle wanted us to keep everything that happened, a secret, to protect you" she said, catching my attention.

"So you—"

"Yes. I knew everything"

"Then why didn't you tell me?!" I asked, feeling frustrated. I heard her sigh again.

"I'm not in the position to do so. I had no right" she said. "I was against with uncle's decision, even your mom too. But it was already decided. Don't blame your parents or anyone"

I avert my gaze away from her, not knowing what to say.

"What happened to you wasn't an accident, unnie" I looked at her in surprise.

"What?" I asked, baffled. She stood up and shrugs.

"Just an advice, unnie; you should talk to him before you'd regret it. Everyone, and everything has an end too" she said cryptically with a firm voice, staring right into my eyes with a look that I can't describe.

"Anyways, I gotta go. And you should, too. Program's about to start" Dahyun spoke one last time before leaving me with a weird feeling.

Why does everyone talks as if something's bad gonna happen?

I shook my head before going out. I proceed to the place where the program was held in a big hall near the ocean.

Once reaching the hall, Jennie sat on the first row. Having a program in a village is rare, so a lot of villagers came to watch the show, which are the officers are grateful.

"Greetings, everyone! I'm Kim Dahyun, and this is..." Dahyun trailed off, pointing to the girl beside her.

"Yiren Wang! We'll be the host for today's program. We have a few performers who volunteered to entertain everyone!" Yiren said enthusiastically.
