Delphini Is Near Part 26

That night, when Penelope and Luzia got ready for bed, Luzia told Penelope the other part of the secret.

They both got changed into their pyjamas and went to the bathroom to brush their teeth. When they came out of the bathroom Luzia and Penelope both sat on their beds.

"What did Professor Villarreal say to you earlier?"

"When?" Luzia asked pretending to not know what she was referring to.

"When he told me to go back into the common room earlier, when he wanted to talk to you alone."

"Oh...nothing."

"Luzia, tell me."

"He just said that he was glad to be back at school."

"What else?"

"Nothing."

Penelope didn't believe Luzia. "He must have said more than that, tell me."

"Why do you care?"

"Cause you seem happier, did he completely forgive you?"

"Penelope, it doesn't matter."

Luzia was scared to tell Penelope anything.

"Can I ask you something then?"

"Sure, Penelope."

"How did he drink blood when he used to live with us at home?"

Luzia sighed. "I don't know." she lied.

"You must of known, Luzia. Did he drink animal blood?"

"He drinks animal blood sometimes, well centaur blood."

"Those half man half horse things?"

"Yes, Penelope."

"Does he drink human blood?"

Luzia nodded and Penelope gasped.

"Whos?"

Luzia rolled her eyes, "Who do you think?"

"You? Wait no, surely not, that can't be legal..."

"It's fine, he hasn't done it since he left school last year."

"Did he drink from you regularly?"

"Every 2 days, his back on centaur blood now though."

"Oh my god, does mum know?"

"No and we definitely can't tell her that." Luzia warned her.

"We need to tell Benji, but how? He is isolating with Ravenclaw, we won't be able to tell him face to face and I don't think writing what you just told me in a letter would be wise."

"We can send him a letter telling him to meet us in the courtyard, the courtyard is outside, he can meet us there tomorrow at  breakfast time." Luzia suggested. After she said this, she got off her bed and went to her trunk at the bottom of her bed. She grabbed her backpack and got out some parchment and a pen. She sat on her bed and leaned on her knees and wrote a letter to Benji saying;

To Benji, 

Meet us in the courtyard at breakfast time, we have news. See you tomorrow.

"Done it, I told him to meet us at breakfast time tomorrow." Luzia told Penelope. "I need to go to the owlery now, coming with me?"

"But it's bed time, we will get told off by Professor Villarreal if we leave our rooms, we are on lockdown Luzia."

"Shh, I'll go and check to see if he is down in the common room or not."
