Visiting Richard Part 28

A few days had pasted now. Benji's body was laying in his bed with a small blanket covering his face.

Sarah didn't know what to do, she didn't want to lose another child like she lost Gellert jr. Sarah had spent the last few days in her room crying, she felt bad for her other children, but she couldn't help but grief more than them. She wanted Gellert jr back and Benji back, she wanted her husband back again too.

Every few hours, Penelope or Luzia would knock on Sarah's bedroom door with a drink or some food. The children didn't know what else to do, neither of them felt comfortable with Benji's body in the house, in the bedroom the 3 of them used to share. Mildred would sometimes tell the girls stories about their father, their older brother Gellert and Benji when he was a baby.

"Tell us another story, Mildred." Penelope asked her while the 3 of them sat in the back garden.

"About who?"

"Daddy."

"Hmm, let me think. I remember when your dad first went to Paris in 1927."

"Tell us about it." Luzia asked.

"Hmm, it was September 1927."

"Why did he go?"

"Do you want the truth?" Mildred asked.

Both girls nodded.

Mildred sighed. "He went there to capture a boy named Credence a few months after he broke out of prison."

"Wow, did he succeed?" Asked Penelope.

Mildred nodded, "Oh yes. Your father killed him in the end though, just before your parents wedding."

"Mum knew him?"

"Yes, they didn't really get along though. Your father liked to keep his private life and work life very separate."

"Why did daddy kill him?"

"Because he was rude to your mother, and your father didn't tolerate it."

"What did he do that was so naughty?" Penelope asked her.

"Well, your mother went to your fathers new castle, where Aurelius was-"

"Wait who is Aurelius?"

"Your father renamed Credence to Aurelius."

"Oh ok."

Mildred carried on explaining, "Your mother went to find Aurelius, but he wasn't in his bedroom, when Sarah went to look some more in other rooms Aurelius appeared out of nowhere and called your mother a rude word. When I told him to say sorry, he was then rude to me too."

"So dad killed him?" Asked Luzia.

Mildred nodded, "Yes. Your mum didn't want him too, but he didn't listen to her."

"Wow, does daddy still have a castle then?"

"Yes, but nobody has been their since his death-his grave is there."

"So mum hasn't been to his grave?" Penelope asked.

"No... it was too painful for her."

"Can you ask mum to see if Benji could also be buried there too, next to dad." Penelope asked her.

"Hmm, I don't see why not. I'll go and see your mum now." Mildred said while leaving.

When Mildred went upstairs to speak to Mildred, Penelope and Luzia started talking.

"Where do you think his castle is?" Luzia asked her sister.

"I don't know, nobody has ever mentioned it before, I wonder if mum remembers it."
