About 45 minutes later, Richard said his goodbyes to Luzia and apparated away.
"Bye, Luzia. See you in an hour."
"Bye."
He disappeared.
Luzia decided that she'd walk downstairs and see what she would be having for dinner.
Mildred was cooking something in the oven and Penelope and Belji were helping. Benji was setting the table and Penelope was filling some glasses up with water.
"Hi, Mildred."
"Hello Luzia, feeling better?"
"Yes, I had a nap and I feel a lot more awake now. What's for dinner?"
"Chicken drumsticks and chips." Mildred told her.
"Great."
Sarah came into the kitchen while holding the wizard newspaper, The Daily Prophet. She looked worried. The children could tell something was wrong.
"Mum? What's wrong? Asked Benji.
"Oh nothing."
"You look scared, though."
"No, I'm fine."
"Can I read it mum?" Asked Penelope.
"No, I'll take it upstairs. Sit down and wait for dinner, children."
Sarah ran upstairs and slammed her bedroom door closed. All 3 children exchanged looks.
"Sit down and I'll bring your plates in." Said the house elf, Mildred.
The children did as they were told and sat down in the dining room.
"What do you think it said?" Asked Penelope.
"I dunno." Said Benji.
Luzia said nothing.
After a couple of minutes, Mildred brought in their food and Sarah joined them.
There was an awkward silence while they ate until Luzia said, "What time is it mum?"
"I think it's 4:2opm or something."
Luzia wanted to be able to keep track of the time, she wanted to be ready for when Richard was to come back.
They finished their food and Mildred took their plates away.
"Mum, can I ask something?" Asked Benji.
"Yes, Benji."
Sarah was still clearly upset by what it said in the newspaper.
"Can I do Quidditch this year?"
"Hmm."
He went on, "They told us at school that when we are in our second year we can play. Would you allow me to?"
"Hmm, sure."
"Maybe you'll be just as good as Matty was." Said Luzia happily, she didn't mean it as insult to Matty, she was trying to be friendly.
"Is that an insult?"
"No, I was just saying that-"
"Matty was going to be captain this year, you ruined it."
"I didn't make him leave school, we've been through this all before."
"But if you didn't keep trying to befreind us all, Matty wouldn't have gotten bullied by Liberty."
"May I remind you, that Penelope's friend, Michelle was the one who gave Liberty that love potion, so really out of all of us who live here, Penelope is the one to blame."
