Misty

"Yeah I'm on my way. Is Kevin there?"

"No and she is goin crazy."

"You need to calm her Sarah. She's going to end up putting herself and the baby in distress."

"Maggie I know you heard that!"

Rushing as fast as I could to the hospital, I was excited that my god daughter was about to come into the world.

For the past three weeks I've been back and forth in different states performing. As soon as I had sat in my car, Sarah called to say Maggie went into labor but Kevin hadn't landed as yet.

Taking the turn off, I pulled up into a parking space in the carpark. Getting out as quickly as I could, I sped walk into the hospital and headed for where Sarah told me they were.

"Hi Mrs. Jacobs." I hugged her.

"Hello love. Maybe you could talk some sense in her before I slap her silly."

"Oh my." I laughed as I was about to enter.

"How's my baby love?" I entered.

"Misty!" She cried.

"Oh thank God. She was getting on my nerves." Sarah crossed her legs and sat.

"They've been mean to me ever since."

"Girl stop lying. You've been a damn pain in everyone's ass since." Sarah fanned her off. "Misty I don't know how you do it."

Shaking my head, I went beside her and held her hand.

"Just calm down love. Everything will be fine. Kevin will be here and then our princess is going to be here."

Wiping her forehead, she calmed down right there. Maggie was a trip and a handful but at the same time you just had to know how to approach her and the situation to get the results you want.

"How many centimeters are you dilated?"

"Only five centimeters." Her mother walked in. "Kevin just called, he is on his way from the airport."

"What you want to do babe?"

"I want to sleep."

Nodding, I called the nurse to see if they could adjust the temprature in her room. Just like myself, a cold environment helps sooth Maggie and that was what she needed at this point.

"Thank you." I smiled.

Lightly brushing her hair with my hand, she calmed down till she eventually drifted off.

"I don't know how the hell you do that." Her mother spoke.

"I just understand my friend." I laughed.

"Yeah well you should have been here friend from since inception. That girl was a trip growing up."

"She's still a trip now and that's just her personality."

"So true." Sarah spoke.

"Oh hey. I found a place for your wedding where we can have everything done on site." I smiled.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I'll show you later when I get my macbook."

"Great."
