"So then why is he single?"

Helping Chandra get ready for her blind date was exciting for me. After finally getting her to agree to come out to New York, she's been questioning me ever since.
"This is what you're wearing?"
Looking over her shoulder, she nodded.
"You don't like it?"
"I love it. It will suite the plans."
"What exactly are these plans?"
"Nothing to crazy. Dinner and anything y'all may want to do afterwards."
"Okay. What time Aug gets here?"
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"What if he gets here before I leave?" She laughed.
"Girl don't worry about him."
"I'm not. Its you I'm worried about. You know he will have a fit."
"I can handle Aug. So you don't worry."

Finishing her look, I just smiled. Chandra was a beautiful woman and her heart was so pure. Over the years, even when August and I weren't in contact, she was there for me.
"What time will he get here?"
Soon after she said that, the door bell rang.
"I'll get it?"
Jogging down the stairs, I opened the door and smiled when I saw him standing.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Jay asked as we hugged.
"Because. I sort of have a confession."
"Confession?"
"Yes. Now don't get mad at me, but the real reason I asked you over wasn't to go to dinner with me."
"So what are we doing then?"
"Well you will be going to dinner but with someone else."
