Chapter 54

August

Waking up to the sound of constant knocking in the door. Checking my phone for the time, I sighed.

"Babe." Misty fussed. "Make it stop please." She continuously hit me on my arm.

"Jesus Christ Misty!" I stopped her hand.

"Then make it stop."

"Fine, but yeen gotta hit me like that." I got up.

After eating lunch, we came back to the room and fell asleep watching a movie.

Rubbing my eyes, I snatched open the door to my momma standing thea.

"Damn momma!"

"You two need to stop being nasty and get ready for this dinner."

"We was sleeping."

"Oh. My bad."

"Yes. Your bad." I stared at her.

"Well wake up and get ready."

Walking off, I sucked my teeth and closed back the door. Turning around, Misty sat on the bed staring at the wall.

"Fucking weirdo." I mumbled and laughed.

Moving around while she was in her zone, I got our clothes out for the dinner.

Finished getting what I needed, I went ahead and got in the shower and got ready.

Coming out of the shower, drying my hair, this fiancée of mines was still sitting there.

"Hey, hey!" I snapped my fingers in her face. "Snap out of it!"

"Huh?"

"Huh is right. You been sitting hea lost fa the longest while. Time ta get up and get ready."

Sighing, she then cut her eyes at me and got up. Misty and her sporadic attitudes, though they confused the shit out of me, I did find it to be cute.

"I already set out ya clothes aight ma?"

"Okay!"

Leaving the room, I made my way downstairs as I buttoned my shirt. Entering the kitchen, Trav and Cha were in there.

"Hey y'all. Wassup bro."

Scoffing below his breath, he got up and walked off.

"What was that all about?"

Turning to Chandra, I looked at her confused by his reaction towards me.

"What's his problem?" I asked Chandra.

Looking at me, she let out a slight laugh. I was slowly becoming annoyed because I didn't understand what was going on.

"Let's just say, you and Misty need ta be careful where y'all having y'all fun."
