Misty
"Can't believe I'm in Italy."
Putting my attention on my grandmother, I smiled.
"Well believe it lah lady." Aug approached her.
We hadn't to long landed and I was in awe just as I was the first time we came. Looking around at everyone who was here, I had this warm feeling in me that made me smile.
"That's what I love to see."
Coming up behind me, he wrapped his arms around me before placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Ya ready ta be ma wife?"
"I don't know. Maybe I should look for an Italian man instead. You know. Keep the blood line going."
"Quit playing Misty." He let go of me.
"You're so sensitive. The only man for me is right in front of me."
"Better be."
Smiling at his assertiveness, I kissed him. Making sure we had everything, my eyes fell on Chandra and Jamal. The way they got their girls in order was amazing.
"They really seem good together huh?"
Surprised to hear those words come from him, I looked at Aug. Though he had come to terms with them being together, I knew deep down he was just worried about it things didn't work out.
"They are. They work great and the girls already liked each other."
"Yeah." He sighed.
"You know she's never going to forget him right. She has three beautiful girls to remind her everyday."
"I know. I just don't want her to get hurt, not saying that he will."
"I understand."
"Everybody got everything?" Aug then asked.
Replying, we then made our way to ground transport which was going to take us to the boat.
"Is it going to be a small boat like the last time?"
"Don't start with me Misty."
"I'm only asking?"
"When we get thea, we'a see aight."
Sighing, I then laid my head against the vehicle window. A sudden wave of tiredness had came over me and all I wanted to do was sleep.
"Sleepy?"
"Yeah."
Nodding, he pulled me into him. As I made myself comfortable, my eyes became heavier. Allowing the sleep to take over, I finally closed my eyes.
*****
Opening my eyes as I stretched, I realized I was laying in a bed. Laying there just staring at the ceiling, the sound of the door opening caught my attention."I see somebody's up." Aug came in.
"Yeah." I yawned.
"T brought you in."
"I figured."
"What's that suppose ta mean?"
"Just what I said." I snickered. "Is there any food?"
"Yeah. Ya uncle threw down fa lunch."
"Nice."
Sitting up, he looked at me.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"So why are you looking at me like that?"
