Misty

"You got everything?"

Making sure Evanna was comfortable in her carrier, I just smiled as she laid there with her eyes still closed.

"Basically. I'm just finishing up in here."

"I know you're not in there taking out any damn selfie Maggie. Let's go!"

"Hey?"

Putting my attention on the door, August came walking in.

"Hi." I snagged him then went back to my business.

"Who's auntie's little princess?" I tickled her chain gaining a smile from her.

"So how have you been?" I heard behind me.

"I've been great."

Approaching the bathroom door, I knocked on it till she finally came out the bathroom.

"Jeez Misty. Do you have to be so annoying." She scoffed. "Oh hey Aug."

"Wassup?" He said lifting Evanna out her carrier.

"What's up is you better be careful with my daughter." She pointed at him.

"I know what I'm doing Maggie, relax."

"Maggs, I have somewhere to be after I drop y'all of, so can we get going?" I asked.

I honestly didn't want to be here right now, especially with August being here. I had some errands to run before a rehearsal and this was just keeping me back.

"Look as how I got the both of you here, I need to talk to the both of y'all."

"About what?" I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"Bitch don't get smacked!" She pointed at me.

"And you don't get choked, I'm not in the mood for your shit today." I said plainly.

"Well fine then. Just hear me out. I've had it with this shit between the both of you. August whether you want to believe it or not, your girl ain't shit. She sneaky as fuck and you better watch your back and hers because now that Evanna is out of me I will be coming for her dumb ass."

Sighing to myself, the last thing I wanted was to be standing here listening to this nonsense.

"Now Misty. I'm glad you beat her ass. She had it coming but you two need to talk. Y'all been through enough shit to let another lame female, come between yall. If not for y'all, for Evanna."

After she said that, the door opened and in came Kevin. That was when I realized it was a set up.

"You ready babe" he asked her.

"Hold on. Y'all set us up?" August asked.

"Clearly!" I sucked my teeth and got my bag.

"Come on y'all. Just talk."

"I have one question to ask."

"What's that?" Maggie asked me.

"Are you still with her?" I looked at August.

Not answering me, gave me the answer I wanted.

"Exactly." I said. "I get what you two tried to do here but I stand by what I said. I'm NOT speaking or going to be around you as long as you are with her. She came into my house and violated me and you not only defended her but you threatened to call the police on me. So you all can enjoy your day. I have better things to do than this." I motioned to us standing around in the room.
