Misty

"Comfortable?"

"Yes I am." I sighed.

"I'm just making sure Misty."

"I know but you've asked me that question twenty times today and its only midday."

"You know you lying." He glared at me.

"No I'm not. Now hand me my water."

"Please?"

"Please." I rolled my eyes.

Passing me the bottle, he squeezed it a bit, making some come out on me. As we laughed, he made himself comfortable next to me.

After being discharged last night with some medication, Aug had finally came to New York a couple hours later. Based on my MRI scan, my doctor informed me that I have a lower lumbar stress fracture that seems to have been there some time now.

" So she said this is a common thing?"

"Yeah. With me being a dancer, it happens."

"So can it be fixed?"

"It can via surgery which before you ask, I will be doing after the benefit tomorrow."

"Good. She gave you something for the pain?"

"Mhmm." I nodded as I drank my water. "I got an injection so it went through my blood stream faster so I'll be able to dance tomorrow but after that I have to stop."

"Only for a while."

"Yeah."

Sitting there, watching the tv, I was intrigued by what went down with August and his situation. Since he got here, he was solely focused on me and hadn't said one word. Just as I was about to ask, his phone rang. Hearing him suck his teeth, I knew who it was.

"What do you want?"

"Are these papers for real?" She yelled.

"Yes they are, so either you sign them and we deal with this the easy way or you don't and we deal with it the hard way."

"Can't believe you are turning this into so much stress."

"Look, I'm not having this conversation with you. I have other important matters to deal with so you have those two options. Goodbye."

Glancing over at him, he looked at me.

"Ask your question."

"Should I really have to ask though?"

"If you want to know now, yes because at this point, my main focus is you and your back."

"I appreciate that but you know I want to know. It doesn't matter when you tell me."

"Aight." He sat up. "My lawyer had called to say the test was ready so I meet them. He along with Morgan's lawyer were there and they read the results. When I heard the words, I was annoyed, angry and hurt for your part."

"Why?"

"Because I knew it would hurt you babe and I felt like I basically failed you."

"Don't feel that way."

"I can't help it but then she started to gloat which made my anger show and thank God for T and my lawyer I was able to calm down and I told him we had business to work out."

"Your lawyer?"

"Yeah. I refuse to deal with Morgan and this pregnancy in person. I honestly don't trust her so I did up some papers stating that any financial needs of the child on my part will be taken care of without any money being exchanged."
