"He should be home soon. You need me for anything else?" Terrence asked.

"No thank you." I smiled.

"You sure?"

"Yes I'm sure. I'm just going to lay on my back on the floor for a minute and then get into bed. Thanks for coming though."

"You're welcome and don't hold this against him aight. That girl been driving him crazy and because of you he's been trying hard to manage his emotions."

Hearing Terrence say that made me sigh. I knew he was right and I wasn't going to hold it against him anyway.

"I know and I'm not. I just wanted to come home because I was in pain, I couldn't stay there any longer."

"I got it and I know he ain't did it on purpose."

"He didn't." I agreed.

Sharing a hug, I closed and locked the door behind Terrence. Taking off my coat, I walked into the kitchen and got a bottle of water, before making my way upstairs.

The pain I was feeling in my lower back was ridiculous and it had began to move to my hip.

"Should I really take these?" I spoke to myself looking at the canister with my pain medication.

Giving in, I took two before getting into the shower.

"God I hope everything is okay otherwise with Aug's son." I prayed.

Once I was finished, I got out, dried, changes and got into bed. The pain killers were setting in for me and I just need to sleep.

As I was drifting off, the sound of my phone vibrating against the night stand startled me. Gettimg it, I was surprised to see his mother calling me.

"Hope I'm not disturbing you."

"I actually was just drifting off to sleep."

"I'm so sorry that I woke you."

"That's okay. Now what can I do for you?"

"I was speaking to Aug and he told me what happened."

"Yeah but it's water under the bridge. Don't even worry about it."

"Are you deflecting because you're hurt but what happened tonight?"

"He just up and left me Miss. Sheila." I began to cry. "Like he just pulled up and got out of the car and left. He didn't say anything or even look back. Now don't get me wrong, I know its his son and I'm not trying to get in the middle of that so I just called Terrence."

"You did the right thing so don't even stress."

"I'm not. I just need to work harder so I can get back on my feet again."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm tired of being a burden to anyone. This isn't me, it never has been me and its time for me to stop depending on people."

"Misty, you're not a burden to anyone."

"You all will say that but in the end its how I feel. The less anyone would have to focus on me, the better it would be and everything would be back to normal."

"How long have you been feeling like this?"

"Does it even matter? Look, thanks for calling and checking up on me, I'm fine, I'm going to go back to sleep now."
