Act 38 | Nerve

There's nothing.

A shouting.

A yelling.

A cheering.

There's nothing except the lion and the bull, fighting each other till one survive.

*BAM! POW! POM!

Eren and Asta keep exchanging hard blows to each others body. Both don't want to give up as they fight and fight. After shooting hundreds of blows, they both backing up. They panted calmly to control their breathing.

"I see that you are still hard as steel, Asta." Eren said as he walked to Asta. "Just like old days." He threw a punch and Asta brushed it.

"You also still fast as light, Eren." Asta said and he hitted Eren's ribs with a right hook makes him fall back.

Eren hold his side and grinned. "Bastard. That's fucking hurt." he groaned and take a deep breath. "I didn't planning on holding back so watch out." Asta said as he took a stance.

Eren chuckled and also take a high stance. "Unfortunately, me too." he said and both of them sprinted to each other.

They once again exchanging blows but this time, it's more heavier and harder. "Guh!" Eren groaned and he punched Asta back. "Argh!" They continue to punching more and more and more. It's pissing Asta off aa he do a horse stance and shot a straight punch on Eren's stomach makes him flew a bit. "Blargh!" he groaned as he holding his stomach. Asta glared him and sending out a heavy pressure.

"Are you mocking me?" he asked.

Eren laughed and fight back the heavy pressure with a heavy dense killing aura. "What are you talking about?"

They both glared at each others eyes.

Asta sprinted to him and throw a right punch, but Eren bolcked it.

"Use your leg, Eren." Asta said as he back up.

"My hands are enough to handle you." Eren fight back with some punch. "You really pissing me off!" Asta said as Eren punched him to a distance. He rub his knuckle and look at Asta.

He has changed. Asta was drooling all over and veins are popping out on his face. Seeing that makes everyone scared except Eren. "Oops! Did I hit a nerve?" he laughed and take a serious low stance. "I was hoping you to use your 'gift', Asta." he said and suddenly, Asta sprinted to him. 'Fast!' Eren thought as he blocked Asta elbow attack. 'Strong!'

"Did that suprise you, Eren?"

Eren just chuckled by Asta's question. "If you want my kicks, show me something worthy, ASTA!!" he said and suddenly, a 10-ton trucks hitted his stomach makes him flew away. Asta keep his fist back and do a familiar stance. Eren get up and look at him. "That's what I'm talking about." he jumped up and sprinted to Asta as he launch a right spin kick but Asta counter it with a straight punch that hitted Eren's face. Or so he thought.

Eren blocked his fist using his left knee. He peeked to the side and grinned. "That's the deadly full contact combat in martial arts. Hey Kirishima, Mashirao, Hanta, Shinsou! Watch this!" he said as he back up a bit and started to hopping around in his fighting stance.

"Kyoukushin." he said as he look at Asta.

"I will break that leg of yours so you can't do Taekwondo anymore!" Asta yelled as he waiting for Eren to charge and he did.

Eren do a triple kick to his left side makes him off balance a bit. He turned his body and landed a back kick to distance themselves. Eren sprinted to him again and do a flying knee but Asta avoided it and punched Eren's side. They keep hitting each other for 10 minutes and they stopped to catch a breath. Eren looks really okay but Asta has started to bleed. That makes the Black Bulls division commanders worried but Asta scolded to not intefer the fight.

"When are you gonna control that 'gift'? Come on, Asta. You can do it." Eren said makes Asta a bit aware of himself but he's back to being rogue.

"There's no gift! There's only a curse!" Asta growled and he charged at Eren. "Then, I will beat you until you can control that curse!" Eren kicked his face makes him falls down. Eren ran and soccer kick Asta's head. They all thought that Asta was unconcious but the opposite. Asta rolled over and jumped up. He ran to Eren and punch his face makes Eren felt dizzy.

"What?! Eren nearly knocked out?!" Connie said as all the Titan Shifters and 1-A Crew spectators are worried of they getting lose.

"That's a dangerous punch, you know." Kirishima said as his team approached the others.

Deku look at them with a confuse looks. "What do you mean?"

Kirishima and the others sat beside them. "Before we arrived, Eren told us this." Shindo said and he started to tell the story.

Flashback

Team Eren is walking down the streets to their destination, the East to help their crew and the South fight with Black Bulls. Eren's walking at the front with Kirishima, Shindo, Sero, Ojiro and Shinsou beside him. Jean and Connie are already ahead from them. When they are walking, Eren ask them something.

"Do you guys remember about the story I told you about my old friend?" he asked and they all nodded as yes.

Eren look ahead and chuckled. "That guy is the Black Bulls captain."

With his response, all of them were shocked and don't know what to say. "I don't know what happened to him, but I heard that he killed someone that he ended up in juvenile." he continued. "In martial arts, there's something that can improvise ourselves to be stronger, faster than anyone else. It is called nerves. But it's not everyone martial had it. They who were gifted only had it. Asta is one of them." he said and they all was stunned by the image of the captain of Black Bulls.

Eren sighed and look up the sky. "When I had his nerves, make sure to tell everyone to stay back, okay?" he asked them a favor.

"Why?" they asked.

"Cuz' I can't guarantee your safety if he turned."

Eren just keep getting beaten by Asta. He can't see any openeing to do a clear hit on him. Asta is full on guard. What Eren can do for now is wait for a chance to hit Asta once and knock him out. If it fail, then that's the end of Eren's journey. But there's something that Eren know about the nerves. It can immobilize the user if he hit a certain point. He will also try to do that while waiting.

But as he expected, he can't.

"ORAHH!!" Asta shouted as he threw a power punch to Eren makes him flew backwards.

Eren groaned and wiped his mouth. He sees that blood has already came out. From there, he knew thay he can't take it anymore. If he goes on, Asta mught kill him for real.

"Hey..." Asta said as he glared at Eren.

"Are you joking me? Use the forbidden move already. What are you waiting for? You're stronger when we were at the Golden Lioness, Eren! I can't defeat you before and now, you just letting me beat you? Are you serious?!" Asta is now pissed cuz' Eren don't show any serious movement to defeat him.

Eren tried to get up but he felt that his hand are swollen. And suddenly, a hand was held to help him up. Eren look up and see Deku is helding out his hand to help him. "Come on. Don't you say you gonna change this country? Why are you sitting down? There's no break time." Deku said while smiling. Eren chuckled and grabbed his hand. Deku pulled him up and patted his back. "I got your back. Let's defeat this crazy bastard now." he said as he take a boxing stance.

Eren look at him and sighed in relieve. "Thank goodness I have a great companions." he said and he take a low stance.

Asta who was witnessing that just laughed. "What? Are you going to play tag team now? Me alone can beat you both." he said and take a stance. Eren just chuckled and look at him. "Asta! This is the end." Eren said and he change his stance to horse stance.

"Let's go, Midoriya." he said.

"Hmph!" Deku and Eren sprinted to Asta.

"HAHAHA! Make it fun!" They collided.
