"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space."

It was ten minutes before 1 PM when Earth walked into the headquarters with a huge cup of coffee in one hand and a phone in another, texting Tay that he had arrived. TSAF headquarters was situated in a tall modern building that looked more like a five stars hotel rather than a government building.
Tay texted Earth, saying that they were waiting for him in a conference room on the third floor. Earth drank up the last bit of coffee, said hi to the receptionist, and went past the elevator to walk up the stairs. That was one of his mottos, if it's lower than the tenth floor, you can always go on foot.
Once he entered the conference room, he saw a man with short black hair and round glasses, looking like a child on Christmas Day, excited, way too excited!
"Hi, I'm Earth. Nice to meet you. Welcome to the TSAF headquarters, hope you'll like it here."
The way too excited man immediately stood up and said, "Hello, I'm Tun and you kidding? You hope I like it? I freaking love it! I have been here for only a few minutes, but it's already way cooler than I have imagined it to be."
Ugh, definitely more excited than he should be, well still better than some creep who was sent by Jack to kill me, Earth thought while sitting down at the table right opposite Tun.
"So, Earth, did you catch up on sleep after we called ?" Asked Tay while sipping something from a blue tumbler which was most likely given to him by New.
"Not really, I couldn't sleep after the great news you told me," said Earth and sent Tun one of his for work kind of smiles, not really a forced one but also not completely genuine, the good old middle road.
Tay clapped his hands "okay, I guess time to talk about why we are here. Tun, New told me that you won the Midnight Lottery last night, is that correct?"
"Yes, my lucky night," Tun chuckled and then looked at Earth, "or maybe yours, I suppose." As he said it, Earth could swear that his grin got even bigger, if that was even possible.
"Do you have the ticket with you?" Tay asked, clearly amazed by Earth's internal monologue about this Tun guy. Tay could read Earth like a palm of his own hand, and he was sure that whatever was going on inside Earth's mind at that moment must have been highly entertaining.
"Yeah, here you go, Earth, your one-way ticket in," said Tun and passed the ticket to Earth.
Earth looked at the ticket and once again couldn't believe that this was it. He finally had the way to enter the Midnight Race gang.
Once Earth realized that it was unusually quiet in the room, especially considering that he was in the room with Tay and Tun, he looked up and saw that both men were looking at him.
