"There are times you can't really see or even feel how sweet life can be. Hopefully, its mountains will be higher than its valleys are deep. I know things that are broken can be fixed. Take the punch if you have to, hit the canvas and then get up again. Life is worth it."

- Queen Latifah

It was so quick, like a sudden explosion, and the fragments of it cut right through Earth's heart. Mix only seconds before, smiling, cheerful was now broken in front of him, tears rolling down his beautiful face, landing on Earth's chest, as he was looking at his shaking hands, mumbling the questions and pleas. "Don't leave. Will you have to? Please don't. Please. Stay. I can't...You can't..."

It hit Earth that they have never talked about what will Earth do after they catch Jack, and his mission will be over. Seeing Mix like this—they should have talked about it a long time ago.

He rolled them over, Mix now laying under him, Earth supporting himself with one hand while the other is caressing Mix's hair. "Shhh, Mix, don't cry. Don't cry, I'm staying, I'm staying." Mix was still crying, his body shaking with every weak sound he let out. Earth pressed a kiss on Mix's forehead, "baby, do you hear me? I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying with you, shhh."

Mix wrapped his shaking hands around Earth's shoulders, pressing him towards himself and hugging him so tightly as if he was afraid that if he let go, Earth would disappear. His body wasn't shaking so much anymore, but the quiet sobs could still be heard in their bedroom, his head bored in the crook of Earth's neck.

Earth was pressing light kisses on Mix's head, trying his best to comfort his fragile angel. "I love you, baby. I love you, shhh. I promise I won't leave you. It's okay."

Mix tried to take a deep breath, "you...you'll stay?" His voice, hoarse and weak from all that crying.

"Yes, baby. I'll stay." Earth whispered, "come on, let's sit up, okay?" Earth held up Mix in a sitting position, letting go of Mix's waist and instead, taking Mix's hands—which were not shaking anymore—and gently rubbing his thumb over his knuckles.

It calmed Earth down a little bit that Mix wasn't shaking anymore. Earth never wanted to see Mix like that again, especially not because of him. He let go of one of Mix's hands to wipe down the tears unworthy of staining the face of the most precious person in his life and smiled fondly. "We are supposed to go meet your niece today. How will we go if you are crying, hmmm? Don't cry, my baby." Earth's voice was gentle, caring, reminding Mix that he is loved.

"I know, but...I can't lose you." Mix's body wasn't shaking, but his voice definitely was. "You'll finish the mission, and you'll have to leave. I know you'll have to leave. You can't stay at an illegal place."

"Mix, look at me, please," Earth was so mad at himself for not talking about this with Mix sooner. This wouldn't happen if they talked sooner. Mix wouldn't have been crying. Mix would have been happy.
