Earth was caught off guard. How does Tul know Perth? Do they know each other? And if they do, why Perth never told him anything?
"I have. Perth is one of the agents and my friend, why?"
Everyone besides Max was staring at Tul, waiting for his answer. Max didn't have to. He knew more than well what had happened four years ago in Lampang. Tul's horror-filled eyes still hunt him sometimes.
"He helped to find my little sister after she was kidnapped, but then he just disappeared, and we could never thank him," Tul said. He has been trying to find Perth for years, for Perth is the only reason why is May still alive. So, it definitely was a kick in the guts for Tul, when he saw one day Perth getting out of the same car as Kit. But now, when Earth is here, claiming that he is a secret agent who apparently managed to infiltrate the Midnight Race, then maybe Perth have done the same with Silver Blood.
"Where was she kidnapped?" Earth already had a feeling he knew what case is Tul talking about.
"Lampang," Tul said, slightly shifting in his seat. Years that passed didn't stop the memories from those terrifying weeks to float back to his mind.
"Your sister was a victim of Lampang Beast?" Earth asked, just to confirm his assumption.
Tul nodded his head, "we almost lost her, but then Perth did some weird stuff agents do. I honestly have no idea what, but the next thing we knew, he called us from the hospital saying that May is alive."
"She must be a strong girl. If I remember correctly she is the only one of Lampang Beast's victims that survived."
"She is," Tul said, leaning closer to Max.
"Well, I can pass thank you to Perth, but I'm not sure if you will be able to meet, cuz he..." Earth wasn't sure how much he can tell, "...he is on his own mission right now."
"He is at Kit's, I know," Tul said like it was nothing.
Wow...okay, Tul apparently knows way more than Earth gives him credit for.
Everyone's eyes turn back on Earth again. He has a lot to explain.
Phuwin abruptly jumped from his seat, startling Pond, who was until now still playing with Phuwin's hand. "That's enough! Can you start explaining already? Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to listen to all of this without knowing shit? How are you a secret agent? Why you," Phuwin pointed at Mix, "don't fucking care at all? Since when is Jack a bad guy? Who is Perth Na- whatever, and why is he in Silver Blood? And what is Lampang Beast?" Phuwin blurted out, almost at one breath, the sudden rush of adrenaline slowly leaving his body. Suddenly he felt a strong grip on his wrist, and when he looked down, he saw Pond with the urgent look in his eyes as he was telling him, "Phuwin, calm down, baby."
