"True love doesn't happen right away; it's an ever-growing process. It develops after you've gone through many ups and downs, when you've suffered together, cried together, laughed together."
- Ricardo Montalban
General Suwan was standing next to the full window wall—Mix assumed that it was bulletproof as literally anything in the building—drinking his tea and enjoying the picturesque view of the orange coloured sky.
He smiled at them and motioned, with his hand, for them to sit down, "my favourite TSAF couple—how are you, boys? Earth?"
Earth smiled, "your favourite? Other couples wouldn't be happy to hear that."
The general shook his head, "shhh, it's a secret between us three." He sat back in his chair, "so, Earth how are you feeling, happy to go home?"
A bright smile illuminated Earth's tired face, "so much! Tired but I can't wait to be home, already."
The general nodded, "take as much time off as you deem necessary. I won't assign you any new mission until you are completely ready."
"Thank you, sir."
"So, I assume you are here to sign the papers," general Suwan took out a small stack of papers from the drawer. "I know this is more than one or two papers but," he shrugged his shoulders, "we can never escape the bureaucracy. I need to send these papers to many places."
Mix just waved his hand, "it's okay, I don't mind."
"Great, so," the general laid out the papers in front of them, putting the pen precisely right in the centre of the middle paper. "Mix you can read them before you sign it. If there is something you don't agree with just tell me and I see what I can do about it. Take your time."
Mix bit his lip, took the first paper and started reading.
It took him almost twenty minutes to go through everything. He didn't want to miss any crucial detail for his sake and the sake of his club.
Everything looked fine; as of the day of the signing of the papers, the Midnight Race officially gains legal status. The race is allowed to be held monthly on the circuit outside of the city. Alcohol is allowed (excluding the racers), while any kind of narcotics is strictly prohibited. One violation of these rules and legalisation of the Midnight Race will be cancelled and followed by legal steps. The police or agents will be doing random control of the race and the club a few times a year without any advance notice.
Out of more than ten papers, that was the only information actually important. Mix put the papers back on the office desk before turning to Earth, "do you wanna read them too?"
Earth shook his head, "no it's fine. If you say everything's alright, then everything's alright."
Mix nodded, "okay, let's sign them, then."
