Cicadas were chirping around Earth's house as they always do during the nighttime. A soft splashing of a nearby stream could be heard in the distance, creating a calming and peaceful ambience luring you to embrace you to swallow you so you forget all your worries, and with a book in your hands, you fall into another world.

That would probably be Earth, if he didn't spend most of his time in the apartment with Mix and if tonight he wasn't here for a completely different reason.

The atmosphere may be calm and relaxing, making Earth feel like he should just wrap himself in a blanket with a cup of coffee and a copy of Charles Dickens in his hands. However, it's almost 10 PM, and Earth is currently standing on the stairs in front of his house, while Gun and Off are on both sides of the house and Tay is guarding the back.

Earth didn't know whether Kit will be civilized and would show up from the front as any decent human would do, or he would take a more gangster-like approach and just attack from whatever side he wanted.

But if Earth were Kit, he wouldn't do that. Especially considering what is inside.

White lights pierced through a dimly lighted driveway leading towards Earth's house, followed by a roaring sound of an approaching car.

A few moments later, Kit was standing in front of Earth with furrowed eyebrows and narrowed eyes but the expression quickly changed into a relaxed, almost cocky one with an annoying smirk.

Behind Kit stood two guys with black gloves and a container of gasoline in their hands.

So Perth was right. Good.

Earth lightly nodded his head for himself.

"Earth, wasn't expecting you here. Did you come to see the show?"

"I came to save my house."

"Hmmm, and how would you do that?" Kit shook his head, "you see, my boys here are masters with fire. If you say 'pretty please,' I might tell them to do it quickly so it won't hurt."

"Won't hurt?" Earth couldn't help but laugh, "it's a house, Kit. It doesn't feel pain. It doesn't feel anything."

Kit smiled, his hands crossed on his chest, leaning on the car, "I wasn't talking about the house."

With a snap of his fingers, the two men get into motion. They walked up to the stairs getting closer to Earth, getting closer to the entrance, containers of gasoline in their hands.

When Talay came to the club and told him what is Kit planing to do, Earth's blood boiled. He was so enraged that someone can even think about ruining the place that means so much to him that for a second it felt like he wasn't himself, causing him to yell at Mix. Even now, standing here, two men approaching, about to commit arson on his house, yelling at Mix is what eats Earth alive the most.

But now, actually being in the middle of Kit's plan, talking to him and suffering his dramatic talk Earth wants to laugh, especially because he is sure that Kit is not going to touch his house.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Earth said with a hint of playfulness in his voice, making Kit confused.

"Does this looks funny to you or something?"

The men are opening the containers.

"No, I'm just saying I wouldn't do that if I was you. You wouldn't want to accidentally set your boyfriend on fire, would you?"

With that, the door flew wide open, Gray standing there leaning on the door frame with his shoulder. "Earth, I must say you have an impressive book collection there."

"Gray?" Kit said, his voice surprisingly soft.

Gray turned his attention towards him, "so this is the high school reunion you were talking about?" Gray's voice was sharp despite his playful tone. "You failed to mention that Earth was your classmate."

"Gray, I...what are you doing here?" Kit's voice was slowly turning back to being arrogant.

Gray chuckled, "what I'm always doing, trying to stop you from doing yet another shitty thing Jack asked you to do."

So it's Jack who is commanding Kit to do all those things. Of course, it's him. Why is Earth even surprised? Now it makes sense why is Kit so obsessed with him. Jack knows about Earth.

Gray walked toward two men, putting his leg on one of the gasoline containers the man was about to open. "I think you two should go play with fire somewhere else."

There was a few seconds of eye battle between the man and Gray until the man heard Kit's command; "do as he said."

Both men looked at Kit confused and then reluctantly took their gasoline containers and backed away from the house.

"Leave. I won't need you here anymore." Kit didn't even look at them, his eyes were solely focused on Gray.

Gray smirked and walked down the stairs towards Kit, "see? That's better. I think the atmosphere is exquisite now when those fire freaks aren't here."

Kit stepped closer to the house, in front of Gray, as if subconsciously protecting him from Earth.

"Why is Gray here?" Kit asked through gritted teeth.

Earth leaned on his terrace railing and tilted his head towards Gray, "why don't you ask him? He is right behind you."

"Because I'm asking you. And be careful what your answer gonna be."

One thing is for sure. Earth's house will survive the night, but something or someone else doesn't have to, considering how pissed Kit is now.

Earth sighed, "Fine. Here's your careful answer; I heard that Gray is a really nice guy, so I called him, told him what are you planning to do, and now we are here."

"How did you get his number?"

Earth snickered, "quit playing games, Kit. You know who I am. Do you really think it's hard for a secret agent to get someone's phone number?"

Kit turned his head towards Gray, "sit in the car RayRay, we'll be going."

Before Gray sat in the car, he waved his hand at Earth, "it was nice meeting you Earth, see you next time."

"You better stay fucking away from Gray!" Kit pointed his finger at Earth, "I mean it."

"Gladly", Earth laughed, "you stay away from my house, I'll stay away from your boyfriend. Deal?"

The next few things happened really fast, maybe because it really took Kit only a few seconds to do it or because Earth wasn't expecting that, so it all seemed to him like a flash of the moment.

As Earth finished his words, Kit reached behind his back, and when the hand came back it held a gun. "I'm not making any deal with you." The words came out covered with venom accompanied by Kit's crazy expression.
