10: picnic date

"Seriously, Jungkook, where are we going?", you asked curiously when he turned into a street which lead into a forest after a ten minute drive through the city.

"I'm not telling you", he said chuckling and kept driving without giving you a single clue despite your pout.

You arrived at a small unpaved parking lot a lot deeper into the forest. He parked and you both got out of the car.

He opened the trunk and revealed a huge picnic basket and a cute patterned picnic blanket. Your mouth fell open and you gaped at him.

"When did you prepare all that?", you asked absolutely stunned.

"While you were at your parents' and after that in the shower", he replied taking it out of the trunk and handed you the blanket.

"So that's why you were in the kitchen all the time. I thought I had only imagined the good smell and I was wondering why you were taking forever to empty out the dishwasher", you said laughing and shook your head now that you understood.

"Surprise was successful", he said and pointed into the direction of a small path into the forest to show you the way.

"What if I did have plans today?", you asked following him.

"I would have made you cancel them", he replied shrugging making you roll your eyes ever again.

"You wouldn't have", you talked back but he only turned slightly to the side to give you a challenging look.

You were completely shut up when you walked out of the forest on a clearing. A small lake sparkled in the sunlight in the background.

"Oh my god", you gasped when you realised that this was the exact same pond where you went skinny dipping.

You just didn't recognise it at first since it looked totally different in daylight but as you approached it you clearly remembered every detail.

"I didn't expect you'd take me here for a picnic date", you said laughing quietly and looked around the beautiful scenery.

"I thought it would be nice for good old time's sake", he said smiling at you and took the blanket from you to spread it on the ground.

"Don't expect me to strip naked though", you said sitting down next to him on the soft surface of the blanket, "it's too bright for that."

"Well then let's stay until it darkens", he suggested with a wink and began placing boxes of food all over the ground.

"You wish", you clapped back and laughed in disbelief, "that's so much food. Who's going to eat all that?"

"You, of course. I got to feed my baby", he said laughing too and lifted a strawberry to your lips to push it into your mouth.

"I'm not your baby", you defied him mumbling a little because you were talking with your mouth full.

"You are my baby and don't talk with your mouth full", he scolded you making you scrunch your nose and glare at him.

But then you smiled and let him feed you some more food. That's how you spent the rest of the day, talking, laughing, eating, playing around. Simply having fun.

You also dipped your feet in the cold water of the lake and he even brought UNO for you to play together.

You had so much fun that you totally forgot about the time and only realised how late it was when the sun started to set and it became a little cooler.

"Are you cold?", he asked when he saw you rubbing your arms because you were slightly feeling chilly. 

"No, it's okay", you said watching him put away the UNO cards after he had won five times in a row and you decided to stop playing.

"Come here", he said lying down on bus back and opened his arms as a offer for you to lie in.

You smiled and lied down next to him using his arm as a pillow.

"Today was nice, wasn't it?", he asked as you both looked up into the sky which slowly changed it's colour from orange and red to purple and dark blue.

"Yes", you breathed, "thank you for taking me here and for everything else."

The moment was so beautiful and breathtaking that you couldn't help but shudder again when you got goosebumps on your arms.

"You can't tell me you're not cold", he said pulling you closer.

"No, I'm good, really", you insisted but he didn't listen.

He hooked his arm around your waist and pulled you on top of him so that you were lying fully on his chest and tummy burying your face into the crook of his neck and resting your hands on his shoulders.

"How does outdoor s£x sound to you?", he asked catching you off guard with his sudden suggestion. You blushed and didn't dare to look up.

"That's not on the list", you reminded him.

"So what?", he countered and began roaming his hands over your sides.

"Not going to happen, Jungkook", you said relaxing your body under his touch.

"How long are you going to make me wait?", he asked in a slightly whiny tone.

"Until the time is right", you said not being able to hold in a giggle as he began tickling your sides.

"Fine with me", he gave in and then suddenly stopped moving, "the stars are appearing, babe. Come take a look."

Your body tensed excitedly and you rolled off of him to lie beside him again and look up into the sky. And you were met with the most beautiful sight you've ever seen.

You were a bit further away from the city centre so the lights weren't polluting the air as much and the sky was clear tonight.

The stars were shining and twinkling brightly in the canopy giving the night a magical touch. It left you astonished.

"It's so pretty", you whispered glancing with big eyes at the stars above you.

"Yes, you're right", he agreed but he wasn't looking up but at you.

"Stop being cheesy and enjoy the view", you said laughing and nudged him, "you wanted to stargaze so do it."

"I am", he said pulling you closer again, "I'm looking at the brightest star in my universe."

You couldn't help but smile when your lips met in a sweet kiss.
