chapter two

Tauriels POV
It had been. Three weeks since that fateful day that Legolas and i confessed our feelings. We had decided to keep our relationship a secret, for now. I was right now patrolling the eastern border with two of my friends, Nellathiel and Gwennalyth. So far their had been no sign of orcs or spiders. We were in a small clearing when, i heard some noises coming from the west. By the looks of Nellathiel and Gwennalyth had heard them too. We all notched arrows in our bows, ready to let them fly at any moment when Arthion, Herion and Legolas stepped out of the trees, bows ready. Arthion and Herion were also friends of mine and Legolas. Arthion and Nellathiel were courting each other and Herion and Gwennalyth were in a romantic relationship. All though they were Legolas and my own most trusted friends they did not know about our relationship. Arthion spoke first "What are you lovely ladies doing here without us?" he walked over to Nella (thats her nickname) and wrapped his arm around her waist. Gwen (nickname) smiled as Herion walked over to her. As always Legolas and i were the third wheels, not that i minded. "How was your day Tauriel?" Legolas asked i smiled and said "It was ok, yours?" "It was alright."
I started thinking about how i just wished to be alone with Legolas when Nella snapped me out of my thoughts "We should probably start heading back its getting dark." "What is the time?" asked Herion looking worried "About 30 minutes until they close the gates" i answered. He cursed under his breath i furrowed my eyebrows in confusion when Legolas spoke up "My father ordered the gates to be closed early tonight, i forgot about that." Then Gwen said in a questioning tone "So that means we have to stay here for the night" Legolas nodded. I sighed all i wanted to do tonight was go home, have a long bath and then spend some time alone with Legolas. But now i was stuck in the middle of the Mirkwood forest for the night.
"Well if we are going to spend the night we should probably make a fire" suggested Arthion, i nodded in aggreement."I will go get some firewood" said Legolas. I stood up "I will help" i said. About five minutes later we had decided the Arthion and Gwennalyth would stay and make camp and Nellathiel and Herion would go and hunt food for dinner. When Legolas and i were out of earshot of our friends, he turned around and pushed me up against the nearest trees. I started taking shaky breaths as he looked into my eyes and i felt his lips on mine. It started out as a soft loving kiss but soon escalated into a hungry passionate kiss. Both our tongues were fighting for dominance, i eventually gave in and let Legolas have full control. He pulled away and i whimpered at the loss of my lover but then i felt him starting to make a trail of opened mouth kisses down my neck and collarbone. I was moaning loudly and he would occasionly flick out his tongue. I wrapped my legs around his waist and started to undo the braids in his hair. I ran my fingers through his blonde locks and he groanded as i pulled his hair slightly when he sucked on my pulse point. We continued like this for awhile until he pulled away and put his forhead against my own "We should get back to out friends they might be getting suspicious, we have been gone for awhile" he said in a whisper, i nodded slowly and unwrapped my legs from around his waiste he put me down slowly and gave me a chaste kiss on the lips. We quickly found some firewood and started to walk back to camp.
