Tauriel POV
Today was the day I was going to tell him that I was leaving. I was walking towards his chambers now, my palms were sweating. I was getting nervous, how would he react? Then suddenly I was in front of his door. I knocked, but there was no answer. I knocked and again, no answer. I pushed the door open and looked around his chambers which were much bigger than my own. I reached his bedroom and gently pushed the door open. Legolas was sprawled out on top of his bed, lightly snoring. I smiled and sat in one of the armchairs next to his bed. There was a book on the table next to it, I picked it up and became so engrossed in the book that I didn't notice Legolas wake up and creep up behind me. I screamed when I noticed him there and he started laughing. I then smiled and started laughing along with him. "What brings you here Tauriel?" he asked cheerily, the smile was instantly wiped off my face and I became nervous again. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and he sat down and pulled me onto his lap. I turned away from him and sighed "I am leaving." I said bluntly, I felt him tense up underneath me. "The treatment's not working is it," he said knowingly. I nodded and proceeded to bury my face into the crook of his neck, I let one lone tear slide down my face. He pulled me closer and buried his face into my hair "How long," he asked "A week" I replied. He sighed "Tauriel?" "Yes,"
"Will you marry me?" I froze and sat up quickly. "Ofcourse, I wouldn't have it any other way." I said with teary eyes he smiled and stood up and spun me around. I giggled "We will have to marry when you are better though, when we are reunited." he said I nodded. He then kissed me with a bruising force. For the first time in a long time I was truly happy. He then ran over to the drawers and pulled something out. He then walked over to me and grabbed my hand and slipped a ring on.
