Tauriel POV
"Tauriel, you have to go to Valinor. You are not getting any better and if you stay you die." said Gwennalyth. I froze. I was going to die if I did not go to Valinor. Tears were streaming down my face, but I nodded my head. "I am truly sorry Tauriel," she came over to me and hugged me. "How long do I have?" I questioned, "You have about another week, but no longer than that." she stated
I left the healers after that, wondering aimlessly. I decided that I should tell Thranduil that I was leaving, I knocked on his study door shakily. "Enter" I heard and I walked in. "Tauriel what brings you here?" he asked "I am leaving" I stated, Thranduil froze and looked up from his work. "Leaving?" he questioned. I nodded my head "My sickness is not getting any better, I will die if I do not go to Valinor." I said
"How long do you have left?" he asked "About a week." Thranduil stood up and walked over to me. He looked me in the eye and sighed "You don't deserve this Tauriel" he muttered. I soon left after that and went to the gardens. As usual I sat underneath the willow tree. I took a deep breath and started remembering the times I had spent in Mirkwood like the time I met Legolas for the first time.
Flashback
My parents had died days prior. The king had decided to look after me, I was a mere 25. I was hiding behind Thranduil, he had told me that he was going to introduce me to his son, Legolas. "Come out Tauriel" said Thranduil. I hesitantly poked my out and Thranduil took my hand pulled me out from behind him. In front of me was an elfling about my age. He had blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, he smiled at me. He then ran at me and tapped my shoulder and yelled "Tag, your it!" and from then on we were best friends that eventually became more.
I smiled fondly at the memory and closed my eyes enjoying the feel of the wind on my face.
