Legolas POV
It had been about two weeks since Tauriel went missing along with Nellathiel. Not a moment went by that I wasn't thinking about her, Arthion was in the same position as me. Our relationship was still a secret as I had told no one, everyone thought I missed Tauriel as I would if she was my best friend, which she was. My father had called a council meeting straight after the interrorgation, there had been many arguments but nothing had been resolved. I talked to my father about letting me take a search party out but he wouldn't risk any more lives. I was furious at the time but understood why my father had refused. My father had called me to his study for a private meeting I was quite curious as to why. When I reached the polished oak doors to my fathers study I knocked lightly "Enter" My fathers voice echoed from inside. I pushed the doors open and found my father sitting behind his wooden desk. He motioned for me to sit in one of the chairs in the room, I chose the chair sitting right in front of his desk. "Legolas," he said in greeting "Ada,"
"Legolas you are probably wondering why I called you here," I nodded and he continued "A great darkness has taken over Greenwood, Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn have been in contact and are considering a treaty of sourts and to unite the two realms you may have to marry Lady Araniel, princess of Lothlorien."
I sat there to shocked to talk. I was stunned I could not marry some princess when I loved Tauriel. "Lothloriens royal family are traveling to Greenwood in about two weeks and I expect you to comply with what ever I tell you to do, am I clear?" he asked I just nodded because I was not thinking properly. "You are dismissed" I left the room and sprinted to my chambers. I sat down on bed and put my head in my hands, I could not marry this princess no matter how fair she may be. Tauriel, I loved her and couldn't betray her like this, especially when she wasn't here. My life is a mess I thought. I don't know when but I eventually fell asleep.
